Good morning, good afternoon, evening- I don't give a #%*$, LOOK...
So we've finally seen our first look at Marvel's Spider-Man, & reactions for the most part have been overwhelmingly positive. We're all happy that Spidey is home where he belongs, well,
most of us anyway. His costume just screams John Romita Sr. 60's Spider-Man, from the moving eyes to the classic spider symbols, & just seeing him hold Captain America's shield should get anyone excited for seeing our ol' webhead interact with other characters from this universe. This is all thanks to a deal that was made between Marvel & Sony at the begining of last year, after the not-so-great performance of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. (Seriously, screw you Avi Arad, Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman)
But what if this deal was made a lot sooner? What if right after the cancellation of Spider-Man 4, Sony decided to strike a sharing deal with Marvel Studios to reboot the franchise within the MCU?
Yes, we know Sony
is kinda stupid so there's no chance for them to do something like this without being hacked or attacked by Anti-Adam Sandler moviegoers, but just think about all the things that would've happened throughout the years & how the MCU would be different today.
First off, there would probably be less hate than rebooting the franchise only five years after Spider-Man 3 & not incorporating it into the MCU. It would've been great seeing Peter Parker grow throughout the years up to now, but hey, better late than never, right?

too bad I can't say the same for some other people on here...
But anyways, back to the topic at hand. With Kevin Feige & Amy Pascal making decisions together & Avi Arad far the #%*$ away, they would've most likely cast someone as young as Tom Holland & further have him go through high school more than the Raimi & Webb movies did. Parker would most likely be almost done with or in the middle of his college years, where he would've met Harry & Mary Jane, or MJ could've been in high school with Peter just like the Ultimate comics. The origin story would be skipped, there would be less focus on romance & no villains who become villains as the result of lab experiments gone wrong, since we would've had that for three movies already (five in reality).
We also would've seen Spider-Man appear in more movies prior to Phase Three. Let's face it, he would've made Age of Ultron a LOT better.
Sony probably wouldn't be so hated, either, since they'll still be getting money from the deal & they wouldn't have to come up with dumb ideas.
Feige & co. would keep them in check & prevent them from trying to do crap spin-offs. (*cough*Aunt May & Glass Ceiling*cough*) & here come the feminists...
But I guess some things had to happen in order to end up where we are now. Even though I was one of the few people who enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man (with TASM 2 being a guilty pleasure), I can still acknowledge that Spider-Man needs a clean slate. & with him debuting in Civil War, what better way to introduce yourself than holding something iconic & showing all the other superheroes just how Amazing you truly are?
