As always, we had a lot of feedback from you guys, and a lot of differing opinions on what Marvel's best course of action is now that they have some some say in Spidey's cinematic future. One thing was unanimous though: No origin story! You all rightly feel that Peter Parker's journey to becoming Spider-Man has been done to death, and that however he is introduced into the MCU, it should be as an established superhero. Most of you also felt it should be an older take on the character, having left his school/college days behind him. Well, unfortunately it's been reported that Marvel are casting younger than ever for the role so it looks like that's out of the question.

In terms of which villains he should face-off against, there were a lot of votes for Kraven, Scorpion, a more faithful take on Venom, and Norman Osborn... again! Many of you feel after 2 big-screen incarnations, Spidey's #1 foe still hasn't been done justice to. There were a few suggestions for Tom Cruise to play him, which is actually pretty inspired.

Storyline wise there weren't many specific comic arcs brought up (a few mentions of Kraven's Last Hunt), but most seem to feel an introduction in Captain America: Civil War is the way to go, establishing the character for the future Avengers movies. We know the secret identity thing won't be a factor, so a lot of you would like to see The Avengers recruit Spidey after hearing about his heroic exploits. Whatever route they take here, as long as we get to see Hulk VS. Spider-Man I think we'll be happy enough.

Though Drew Goddard is rumoured to be the frontrunner to direct, you guys feel either Brad Bird or Matthew Vaughn would do the best job there.

Now onto casting. First of all, the vast majority want Peter Parker back in the Spidery suit. There were some calls for Miles Morales, but most seem to feel that character would be better served being in introduced later on; perhaps taking over the mantle from Parker after he's killed/retires. Logan Lerman, Anton Yelchin, Taron Egerton and Dylan O'Brien's names were mentioned, along with The Flash's Grant Gustin -- but just as many actually want to see Andrew Garfield stay in the role. Spider-Gwen also got some love!

So there you have it. Next time we'll be asking you what you want to see from Warner Bros.' Justice league movie, so get your thinking capes on.

I don't see why it's so hard to make a comic faithful 616 Green Goblin. Make it look kinda cheesy too! Dude takes some crazy drugs, goes insane, and puts on a crazy outfit using a combination of household items and futuristic weapons grade technology. Makes sense to me

Introduce spidey in civil war as Peter Parker with Logan or Dylan, and then use the Sinister Six for the standalone Spider-Man film. Kravens Last Hunt would be cool too and I like Drew Goddard or Matthew Vaughn as director

This is the director and actors that I choose to make the next Spidey movie:

DIRECTOR: Matthew Vaughn.

ACTORS: Taron Egerton (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Jane Levy (Mary Jane Watson), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin), Jesse Plemons (Herman Schultz/Shocker), Steven McQueen (Harry Osborn), J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson) with Sissy Spacek (Aunt May) and William H. Macy (Uncle Ben).

If we were going for an adult actor to play the role of Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Tom Cruise wouldn't be that bad of a choice, but my eyes are set on Jake Gyllenhaal for the role.

Drew Goddard should write and direct. I originally was on board and even supported the idea of a Spider-Man: The Sinister Six tentatively, and to paraphrase Joss Whedon, you don't wanna go bigger. No origin story, I say have him start a couple months into his heroic career, where we still get to see him grow. Nick Robinson, Timothée Chalamet, or Dylan Sprayberry. Just give him color eye contacts. I would love to see The Clone Saga or Kraven's Last Hunt adapted, and even The Night Gwen Stacy Died done right, but I don't think it should be inspired by any story. Maybe something amalgamated... But I really need to see Green Goblin done justice. It's a shame Chris Cooper can't return, but my choice is James Remar.

Since we're getting a younger Spidey, they should just pick a great young actor; I'm not so familiar with those young actors because most of the great ones are nearly unknowns with talent.

But, I'm guessing that Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be a Spider-Man-centric phase with younger heroes.

There are 3 things I want from a spider man movie: 1. a clear representation of exactly how brilliant peter is. It's something that the movies constantly reference but they never reall put it on display. 2. staying true to his wisecracking smartass ways (one of the few things I loved about the ASM films). and 3. a story that focuses on how being spider-man affects peter parker's life (something the Raimi films did brilliantly) that plus some awesome action sequences and a good villain would equal the perfect spiderman film

A teenage Spidey makes sense since they are no teenage heroes in the MCU.

Story wise, maybe the story starts off a year of Peter being Spider-Man and the costs of being a hero(like Raimi's Spider-Man 2). It should also be his first time fighting first Supervillain

I'd like to leave Spidey out of the movies for a while.

Have him team up etc. instead.

Then have a Netflix show to start people off with the new Spidey. Build up the Sinister Six in the show as well and after phase 3 or so have a Spidey film with the Sinister Six.

We need a break from a big screen Spider-Man for a while. At least after phase 3. That way we can have other character such as Black Panther and Captain Marvel have the lime light.

Don't just make another Spider-Man movie. Build it up, make a story. Make people remember why they love Spider-Man again.

Also bring back the cool cinematography of the original films.

This is like some of the coolest shots ever.

I would love to see the Green Goblin done right, but not right away. Kraven could be cool, but stick with the old school villains. Maybe try and bring in the Kingpin and the Chameleon? Also, I would LOVE to see Mysterio done with the right script. Don't rush to the Grren Goblin or Venom just yet. What about the Jackel? Nobody ever mentions him.

They have to do the origin story or stay very close to the timeline of spideys birth when he gets introduced, otherwise the obvious question will arise that if he is an established crimefighter then where was he when the chitauri army came in on newyork.
DailyBugleKid

No origin story of course. Nobody wants to go through that again, plus seeing Uncle Ben getting shot for a 3rd time.

Matthew Vaughn or Drew Goddard will be great choices to direct the movie. I'm still hoping for Dylan O' Brien to get the role, if not, just hope Marvel snatches some with good acting chops.

As for villains, I want it to be Mysterio and Shocker. Shocker will be on the side most of the time throughout the movie, but Mysterio will be the main threat. If not those two, then go with Scorpion or Kraven. I believe they can be great.

I just want Marvel to bring justice to Spidey. ASM2 sucked, it's depressing.
