SUICIDE SQUAD Concept Art Adds King Shark To Task Force X While The Joker Tortures Harley Quinn
Some newly surfaced concept art features Shazam!'s Marc Strong as The Joker, while we get to see the villainous King Shark as a member of Task Force X. Harley Quinn's twisted origin is also explored...
We know that Suicide Squad was put through the wringer during the editing stages as Warner Bros. desperately tried to change the tone of the movie after the negative reaction received by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now, some new concept art reveals what else director David Ayer may have envisioned for the DC Comics adaptation during pre-production.
Thanks to artist Peter Mitchell Rubin, we have a batch of great concept pieces which show a terrifying new take on The Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime's horrifying attempts to turn Dr. Harleen Quinzel into Harley Quinn, and a new member of Task Force X as King Shark unleashes his powers.
This is definitely an interesting look at what might have been and with a Suicide Squad sequel in the works from Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, it should be fun seeing where the franchise goes next (especially as rumours are swirling that he'll reboot the DC Comics property).
