Jared Leto's rendition of the Joker is very different than other incarnations. With a more urban look, influenced by gang culture, which David Ayer is fascinated by. That didn't land well with fans, but some new concept art straight from Suicide Squad: Art Of The Movie book, which you can purchase for 20$ over at Amazon has been released and they feature alternate designs for The Joker.

This concept art show a Joker with much less tattoos, but still having that urban and gangster influence such as in the finished product. The concept art also feature Harley, before her inevitable transformation and The Joker torturing her, among other moments. Check it out.

Suicide Squad is currently in cinemas.
Figuring they're all expendable, a U.S. intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated super villains for a top-secret mission. Now armed with government weapons, Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and other despicable inmates must learn to work together. Dubbed Task Force X, the criminals unite to battle a mysterious and powerful entity, while the diabolical Joker (Jared Leto) launches an evil agenda of his own.

@Skwad - Looks a little too plain to be the joker in my opinion, the other ones were at least interesting to look at

Im so glad they got the final look on him

Honestly people are being overly sensitive about his tattoos really just because he is a little different doesn't mean you guys have to lose your minds

Letos Joker honestly looks like classic Joker but with tattoos on him you can easily ignore it.

@Jokester - The tattoos are fine. The "Damaged" tattoo is the only one that's overdone imo

@Jokester - he doesn't look like classic joker minus the tattoos. He still has that ridiculous grill, and dresses like a ghetto superstar. That's just looks. He didn't act like classic joker either. He wasn't jokey enough and he growled too much.(once is too much)

@NurseDoom -
1 He literally wore classic Alex Ross tuxedo and suits HE DRESSED CLASSIC JOKER

2. He has a grill so what. I personally think it makes his smile disgusting which is good.

3. He is literally in the movie for like 6 minutes. We really know nothing about this Joker except he loves Harley and he owns a nightclub. So shut the hell up about the way he acts because he barely does anything in the movie.

4. Joker growls dude just watch the animated series that Joker growls a lot.

@megabatfan - yeah me too but I coul barely see it on the big screen. One thing I don't like about this Joker is that damaged tattoo besides that I kinda dig his look it's new different and weird but at the same time familiar and classic.

I just think comic book fans need to have an open mind comic book characters have a million different looks in every comic book I don't know why when they change something in movies they lose their minds.

@Jokester - That scene when he put his hand over his mouth, with the tattooed grin on it & started laughing. Was creepy, I laughed, I was like "this guy is frickin' insane"... And that's how I think Joker's vybe should be... Heath Ledger did it & Leto pulled it off as well with what little screen time we got. I can say.. I CAN'T WAIT to see him in a movie that will give him some for focus (like The Batman movie or maybe the Harley Quinn spin off)

@megabatfan - There thing I like about Let's Joker is that he really did completely lose himself in the role. When an actor can make me forget that he is acting I love it, that's one of the reasons I liked Suicide Squad more than it deserves because of the casts amazing performances. But I don't really know that much about this Joker all I know is that he is very impulsive, obsessive and short tempered.

But I agree I want to see him opposite Ben Affleck in a Batman movie I hope they use that obsessive impulsiveness that he had in the movie for Harley on Batman. They have the opportunity to really go deep on his love for Batman in the Batman movie I just hope Leto is up for it and Ben is ready for it.
