I think it'll stop at the $700 club. Warner Bros. should be proud.... Now, replace David Goyer with someone who knows how to write a brilliant story.

WB's, just [frick]ing announce a Flash Movie. Fox just pulled a new X-Men movie out of their ass with X-Force and I'm sure you guys can.

Get that Charlie guy from Pacific Rim for Flash

And hire the Wachowski siblings to direct it.

There, I just solved your [frick]ing problem.

Aside from a Man of Steel sequel, WB should announce movies for Wonder Woman and Flash.

After those movies are made, they can make an Aquaman movie and a Green Lantern reboot.

Man of Steel made more money than the amazing spider-man domestically, but worldwide it's still about 100 million behind the amazing spider-man's total gross

@newmutants

Globally it has though. That's where it counts now to these studios. You can't ignore that. Just look at Pacific Rim. It bombed here in the US, but it is going to be dependant on the international box office to make its money.

And no way will MOS beat TASM's global box office. The chickens have hatched, bro.

@TheHeat I think Batman Begins is probably the "king of reboots". Unless you think kings are crowned by box office. I'm certainly not going to call Avatar the "king of movies".

This is fantastic, especially when you consider the following:

Superman wasn't coming off the back of a successful franchise
Superman's last movie was not very successful financially, and wasn't recieved well by audiences,
The character, which I am a massive fan off, has been stuck in a bit of a rut, with many having an old fashioned view of the character,

So yeah, loving the news that the movie is doing so well.

I say "probably" because Casino Royale was also a great reboot.

Good that means there will be a sequal, and it is a good thing that this has done pretty well, as good competition between Marvel and WB will result in better CBMs all around.

Batman Begins is the best reboot of all time.

The Bond films have never been a laughing stock like how Batman films were. Batman Begins showed the world that Batman is badass.

The Amazing Spider-Man copied Batman Begins. Literally both Webb & Avi said that.

Batman Begins is the best reboot of all time and anyone who throws TASM's box office, it's a hell of a lot easier to come off a film that made nearly a billion dollars and reviews was mixed than a film that was critically hated and made no money.

Batman Begins has way better reviews than TASM it's no contest.

Batman Begins is the best, suck a dick haters.

@ levitikuz

titanic & avatar appealed to a larger audience.

-cameron fanbase,he has made some of the best movies.

-avatar first 3D movie hype, now nearly every other movie is 3D.

-titanic appealed to all ages.

-titanic is a chick flick with a great cgi ending that appeals to men.

james cameron will have the top three grossing movies ever when avatar 2 is out in 2015.

I am ok with Goyer coming back with the storyline, but someone else needs to do dialogue.

I am curious what the chances are of this hitting 300 million in North America

MoS may limp across the finish line to $300m... just barely. Hard to say.

Doubt it beats TASM internationally/overall. TASM was better anyway (not that that's setting the bar all high).

Batman Begins was okay for the first two acts, and lame as could be in the third act. It was so-so at best.
