SCOOP: Third MAN OF STEEL Trailer Confirmed For April

The second trailer for Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel was met with a lot of praise, and left audiences wanting more. Now, a source has confirmed to me that we will in fact get another trailer in April, as well as be provided with some small details on advanced ticket sales.

The month of January was a big one for Man Of Steel. New images of Henry Cavill as Superman and Michael Shannon as General Zod were among the highlights. But there was also new shots of toys, magazine spreads, and even more photos. There was even a small rumbling that we might get another trailer for the film in April. I can confirm, via my source close to Warner Brothers, that the trailer will indeed be in April. As of right now it is said the trailer will hit early to mid-April, but it's not clear what movie it will be attached to.

As it was reported a couple months ago, Man Of Steel will be soaring into screens in IMAX 3D. So with that it mind, another tid-bit of information that was passed along my way was that the advanced tickets for the IMAX screenings will start in May. Not really a shocker in terms of the timing of when the tickets will go on sale since the film will be released a month later. As soon as I can lock down the exact date of the release, I'll pass the information on to you.

So there you have it! Trailer in early to mid-April, advanced tickets in May. An interesting thing to keep in mind is that this is the same source who provided me the info on the 3D conversion that came to be true, as well as Henry Cavill signing a hold clause in his contract for future Superman endeavors. It will be attached to Iron Man 3... and should be online by the very end of April, as in, the week of IM3's release.

Good, but not sooo good. We're beginning february now. Damn, I'm just hoping that they will give us more images or even a teaser - maybe releasing officially the Comic-Con teaser. Just give us something new and exciting, Warner!

Good. As expected.

A month in advance to order tickets!! Now my dilemma: which theater will I see this in; will my boyfriend take a day off from work so I can drag him to the midnight screening? Can I somehow persuade him to get IMAX 3D tickets?!? Questions, questions, questions.

Either way... I WILL BE THERE.

@Splenda I KNEW that phrase from the trailer sounded familiar. It seems like Snyder and Nolan aren't all that creative after all. It's not too shocking for Nolan, seeing as he tried to rip off The Dark Knight Returns and Knightfall, but failed miserably.

Honestly as much as I hate Warner Brothers I prefer the way the show trailers over how Marvel does them. TV Spots and Superbowl teasers are pointless to me. I really miss the days of not knowing much about a movie before it was released.

I feel like I've seen a good portion of these movies before they even release in theaters and I know some smartass is going to say "well you don't have to look at them" well if the information is their I will be inclinded to view it.

I will be buying midnight tickets for this movie ASAP! I did it for Tdkr and it was literally sold out within 5 minutes it was crazy.

They should have all of Zimmer's scores by April! Maybe they're putting the finishing touches on it. They want it to be perfect. We've already had 2 trailers borrowing from Zimmer's past work. It's time to show us the real thing and I can not wait for it!!!

TDKR midnight viewing tickets sold out withing 5 minutes? Jesus Christ... Imagine how fast MOS tickets are gonna go! I'ma have to really jump on it.

@Beatnation Who said I was bashing the movie? It's all good fun. You people take so many thing seriously on here. IT'S JUST A MOVIE.

To be honest, I don't really care about Superman. Yes, I'll still see the movie, but only because it's a CBM.

By the way, don't call me "kiddo." It makes it sound like you are trying to hand me candy outside of your windowless van. ;)

@Drhorrible you do know that this movie id based on a comicbook character named Superman right? And that all stars Superman is a Superman comic right? So y would they not take something from one of the greatest supes storylines? :S

@kenjim152 I know that. I'm saying that they lack originality by essentially taking a line word for word from another source. In this case, a Superman comic.

It's something that irks me. Just like the way people knocked TASM for not having the "Great responsibility" line in it, when Uncle Ben NEVER said it in the original comics.

Man of Steel looks really good but @levi, I don't think it'll make a billion. Superman isn't as popular as he once was. Not to mention that Snyder is all visuals and flare. There is nothing special about him. Man of Steel will have to be truly impressive and be as good if not better than, Iron Man, if it wants to get my ass in the theater seat or truly get my full respect.
