I think I know who that mysterious female role they are casting in Snyder’s new SUPERMAN movie.

CHLOE SULLIVAN!

Let the bashing begins. Try as I may I know that I will get a lot of heat for this! =). Well she’s blonde most of the actresses that are reportedly being attached the movie is blonde. She is not Lois Lane but close enough. She is already integrated in the comic mythos. So, there you go I made my case I’m thinking that it is Chloe Sullivan. I think even Smallville lovers will hate me for this.

If Goyer and Nolan can make a non comic book character, Rachel Dawes, added to the mix of Batman Begins and Dark Knight. You know they can make a character like Chloe matter to a new generation of Superman mythos. Many new fans already associate Chloe to the SUPERMAN universe, thanks or no thanks to SMALLVILLE.

Well I presented my case, it is not a strong case but for now I will stick to it.

I like the idea of Chloe being in the movie! As long as she doesnt over shadow Lois or become a love interest...

What about Cat Grant? She's blond and actually from the comics. She's less known to the general audience than Chloe Sullivan, and She serves as a love interest that can mess with the typical Superman-Lois-Clark Love triangle to make things more enthralling.

@TheQuestion: I'm all for Cat Grant. As long as Cat Grant is portrayed how she is in the comics and not how she was in Smallville. I mean seriously since when is Cat Grant supposed to be an enthusiastic, nonsexy, selfish, annoying little b!+ch. Cat should be a serious but sexy gossip columnist who is an easily standable plot device. Not exactly a hard concept to capture.

That would be interesting but it wud be strange to see someone else be that character that was specificly created for allison mack and allison is chloe, so interesting but i highly doubt it

No, no Chloe in this movie. I don't want ANYTHING from "Smallville" or "Superman Returns" in this film. It needs to have its own separate identity.

Besides both Smallville and Superman Returns suck. They ruined Superman's image.

Interesting theory Witness. I doubt that it's going to be Chloe, but I've been wrong before. For the record, I really enjoyed Tracy Scoggins Cat Grant SOOOOOO much more than that annoying little twirp on Smallville.

Agreed. The theory is interesting.
However, I'm leaning towards no on this one.

Being a reboot, I don't think they want to associate themselves with any previous film or TV incarnations. They don't use Routh, they don't use Swelling, and they certainly won't use a character created in Smallville, in my opinion. A totally new character would make more sense.

IMHO.
Did you get it? Swelling? You know... because Welling is so swell? Lame, I know. LOL!

If they are using Chloe for the lead female role, they should also have clark dringking beer, maybe peaking into someones house, and having 100% strength/ health while around kryptonite...... Oh wait, they did, and the movie faild miserably. Instead of trying to change a lead role, lets try to update the superman outfit, or get some other villains other than luthor or Zod, and I myself would like to see a full on brawl, speed punching, heat vision (HEAT!!! NOT LAZER), superbreath, ice breath, the works. I know I got of subject of the lead role, but ive seen people mess up superman too many times, and im not talking about the 70s superman (spinning the world was too much) that movie was awesome for its time. But im also sick of seeing a NOT-SO-BUFF superman, its nothing aginst the actors, but we blogers are trying to reach the same goal, A good superhero movie. I for one think we should get Dwayne Johnson as the man of steel. but please tell me how YOU would do a superman movie, im curious to see how we fans would do it. ...... Sorry, this is the first blog ive ever done, if its even galled a blog, anyway, i just dont want to see my favorite superhero being abused by writers who have never even herd of him.

I don't buy it. Just because Nolan brought in his own character. Whom he eventually killed off anyways, doesn't mean they are going to continue the process. There's too many great characters to bring in for them to even think about trying the Chloe Sullivan route. I'm actually thinking after Smallville is over, she will fade away and not be brought back for anything.
