Fan Favorite Clancy Brown Reprises Lex Luthor Role for Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

The man behind the voice of one of the most famous villains in the DC universe comes back to the role of Lex Luthor..................

This from IESB.net:

"Fans' favorite Luthor voice reunites with Tim Daly & Kevin Conroy as seminal roles in all-new DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movie for distribution Sept. 29."

"Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" just keeps getting better and better and better. With the likes of Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly taking back their iconic roles as Superman and Batman, this DC animated feature looks to be the year's best.

I really enjoyed "Batman: Gotham Knight," "Wonder Woman," and "Green Lantern: First Flight." But "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" (based on the ongoing DC comic book)looks to be the best out of all.

He's done a ton of voice over work for comic book shows. His best work imo Pet Cemetery.

I think he has done more work (screen/voice) than anyone else ... ever...

I ruined highlander for a friend of mine. All he sees now when the Kergan (sp?) comes on is him dancing around singing "who lives in a pineapple under the see?"

I still wish they's give Luthor to Clancy Brown in the next live action Superman movie. I like the idea of a bald six foot four inch imposing Luthor, and come on the guy has really been the best Luthor in any acting format.

Cant wait for Public Enemies. I never knew until this site started posting stuff on this that Lex's voice was done by the guard from Shawshank Redemption.

nerosday - I never thought of that, but yeah he could probably pull that off. He is a pretty decent actor, and obviously he has the voice for it. Luckily Lex's look primarily requires him to be bald...easily done, haha.

I always thought Tim Daly had one of the better Superman voices. He's very earnest when he speaks

I agree with you totally, @Nerosday! Put Clancy in the live action Superman as Lex, the megalomaniac mogul , as one of the regular supporting cast of characters in the Superman movies. He is an impressive presence.

Billy Zane for live action Lex

No one but Clancy Brown should ever even consider voicing Lex for animated work. It gets no better.

This guy was awesome as Lex and AMAZING on Carnivale. Damn I miss that show. Why does HBO let the ones that should end (Sopranos) go on and cancel the ones that rock (this and Rome)?

The fact of the matter is, with the reprisal of 3 great voice actors taking their respected roles for this movie makes me truely excited and orgasmic that this is happening. This will probably be the best of any of the animated movies that DC has produced. I think since they are doing this they should go ahead and make a Justice League animated movie.(not referencing JL New Frontier) This would be an excellent movie to make after this one. Have it be set in modern time Metropolis and Gotham with just the main 7.

Plus how can u not love Clancy Brown anyway. He brings joy to children and adults alike as the ever so greedy money lover, Mr. Krabs on Spongbob.

This guy can do no wrong imo. From Carnivale to Lost to Highlander to all his voice work. He might be a little too old at this point but i could see him playing lex in live action too.
