CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS: Another New Look At Brandon Routh's KINGDOM COME Superman Revealed

Following that amazing official reveal, another shot of Brandon Routh's return as Superman in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover has been revealed and if you weren't sold before, you will be now!

Brandon Routh played the Man of Steel in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns but the disappointing critical and commercial response to that throwback to a bygone era meant we never got a sequel.

Since then, the actor has taken on a very different superhero role in the Arrowverse as The Atom but later this Fall, he'll don that cape one more time to play the Kingdom Come version of Superman in the massive "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event on The CW. Now, another promo shot of Routh suited up has been revealed and it's truly spectacular.

We don't know whether Routh is playing the same version of Superman or a completely different take from another universe but seeing him back in the role is one of the event's biggest draws.

The costume is pretty much perfect and it's fair to say that the Legends of Tomorrow star still fills it out extremely well. With Smallville's Tom Welling also set to appear, time will tell whether both actors will share the screen in their respective Superman suits (it's still hard to imagine Welling wanting to wear the costume but we'll have to wait and see).

Check out the promo shot below:

Why is he stood with his feet at that angle? It's like how I used to draw people when I was 6. Suit looks dope though and this crossover event should be insane. 3 Supermen guys!

@noahthegrand - it looks puffed up like the Shazam movie costume IMO... and the shoes look out of proportion... like he should be doing recon somewhere.

@JonC -

The boots are of similar design to the Superman Returns boots in that Singer wanted to add weight to the lower extremities of Superman.

This costume is too good to be relegated to just TV. It's good enough for a movie.

Holy cow.

@Comicbookart - Can't we just get a Routh Superman show on the DC app or HBO? He looks perfect as ever.

@Comicbookart - they’ve clearly spent some money on it. Which is kinda mental because side by side it will make there other Superman costume look cheap.

@Comicbookart - It'd whether have this suit than the one we got in the DCEU that's just the regular suit with the yellow color scheme but muted down like hell and ugly to look at.
