Man of Steel Smallville fight hands down. That was cool and brutal. Also Superman destroying the World Engine was awesome. :D

Smallville is the only thing epic In the Superman films. The jet scene in Returns is a close second. I'm sorry but the angles used in Supes first flight in Man of Steel took me out of the scene. The last shot before he shoots into space was a beautiful shot though.

I actually liked MOS's first flight. Seeing Superman learn to fly was something we haven't seen before. In other cinematic outings he just seemed to know how to fly and didn't have to learn (thus I would imagine he already learned).

So I did love that. Also the Smallville fight was brilliant.

That's not quite fair since its so ingrained in people's minds, but Superman flying over Earth is still the most iconic Superman image. And it will probably remain so for decades to come. That's pretty epic.

The most epic parts of the superman movies are, for me, always the clark turning into superman. E.g Taking off glasses, loosening tie and then the ripping open of his shirt to reveal the 's'. Hope man of steel 2 has a moment like this, was awesome in Smallville finale and superman 1+2.

I would say the eye bullet, but that's been killed already. For physically epic, I would say the lifting of the kryptonite island. For visually exhilarating, catching the falling plane. But most ICONIC? ALWAYS gonna be flying over the earth, profile, profile, smile for the camera. :)

Im surprised the scene from Superman 3 was on here only bc that movie is always shunned but that scene has ALWAYS been my favorite moment in any Superman movie. I enjoyed MoS a lot but never felt it had any real epic moments, the first flight is a great scene but still misses the mark a bit for me.

I'm sorry, but no scene from Superman III should be on this list. I'll give you the jet scene from Returns, but Superman III was terrible. And that oil spill scene isn't even the best scene in the film. Freezing the lake was better, as was Clark and Superman fighting (although not enough to keep the movie from sucking. Only the fact that Superman IV was just one of the worst films ever keeps Superman III from being the worst Superman movie.)

Well, cleaning up the oil spill was whatever, the epic part of it tho was when he rips open his shirt to reveal his S after defeating evil Supes. I love that moment and i actually have a painting of that exact moment framed hanging on my wall.

Honestly, it's gotta be Superman saving Lois in the first Reeve film.

Not only this that scene iconic, but I without a doubt would call it one of the most charming moments in cinema history.

The lines that Lois and Superman trade give me a huge smile everytime I hear them, and they genuinely give me the sense that this is the first time a character like this has entered our world (which is something MOS failed to do when the entire movie was supposed to be about that very theme).

"Easy Miss, I've got you."

"You've got me? Who's got you?!"

The most epic scene I have ever scene in a Superman film was Superman at the bottom of the ocean with all that light beating him down and you see this little figure in all that light,I can see that scene right now its burnt into my soul.

How is no one mentioning the last fight scene in mos? All the aforementioned scenes are great with the exception of the oil scene lol it's a good one but come on, over superman and zod? I call BS LOL
