TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (2014) Gets An Honest Trailer

Screen Junkies has released a new "Honest Trailer" for the Michael Bay-produced and the Jonathan Liebesman-directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The film was loosely based on the comic book created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Check out the video below which addresses Master Splinter learning karate from a book and the complicated backstory of the Turtles involving April O'Neil's father and her childhood pets.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

These movies are only bad if you were a fan of the comic.

I was a fan of the cartoon and...really how does this crap on it? It never really was...well...look at x-men where phoenix kills herself on a kids cartoon. I mean...TMNT was never serious business like that.

If they don't replace Fox News they will never make a good TMNT movie.
Or replace Shitfest Bay.

I watched this like a month ago out of curiosity, I thought it wasn't that bad. AT LEAST they got the turtles right, that alone makes this movie better than the Transformers movies (granted, that's not hard, but still).

@Jimboman300 - "Honest trailers are always dead on. This wasn't a movie it was a commercial"

It's a movie about toys that is intended to sell more, new and different toys while also including more product placement than plot.

This wasn't very funny, except for the kid's voice.
It's kinda hard to be witty crapping on obvious utter crap, though.

Unless there's a comic book of Megan Fox's ass somewhere out there, I wouldn't call this garbage a comic book movie.
It's not like they even tried to follow the original work.

Hated every second of this garbage movie. Paramount Pictures, please for the love of god, take Platinum Dunes out of the equation.

I love Screen Junkies and their Honest Trailers even when they do movies that I love. Cinema Sins not so much even movies I hate I don't care for their Everything Wrong With, especially cause they're so nitpicky.

@omegadagod

TMNT's humor was it's own. Didn't remind me anything like marvel. It did exactly what I thought for a movie about ginat turtles.

The turtles actually made me laugh and had distinct personalities. Already above transformer seeing as how I didn't know who any of the Autobots or decepticons were and didn't care anyway.
