An Iconic Moment From The Comic Books Recreated In First Clip From THE FLASH

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, The Flash will premiere on the CW on October 7th! The pilot was well-received after being shown at this year's San Diego Comic-Con (as well as by fans who managed to get their hands on a leaked copy a little while before that), and with Captain Cold, Firestorm and more all coming to Central City, this one will be well worth keeping an eye on!

Literally the only problem I have with the Flash pilot is the non-existent transition for when hears about Cyrus Gold, goes to Starling City and comes back before the explosion.

Why can't DC-Warner make this into a movie.

This scene looked like a dud. It would have been way better if the lightning caused major burning on his skin and he showed some level of agony right before going unconscious. Then while he is in a coma in the hospital, his super healing factors can grow back his skin in a matter of a couple of weeks. When he wakes up, they can show him how badly burned he was and how he mysteriously healed so quickly.

agents of shield is wayy better than anything dc ever puts out. it's not populated by grim teenage drama shows like Flash and Arrow and by a show called gotham without batman...DC FAILS...and constantine is garbage; he's a shit character
