Yesterday, we got word that Arrow's Emily Bett Rickards, who plays Felicity Smoak, will crossover into The Flash world in episode four, an episode which will also introduce Wentworth Miller's Leonard Snart/Captain Cold. The title of this episode will be "Going Rogue." Kreisberg had this to say about it:

“It’s an episode where Barry’s beginning to question his teammates, and Felicity coming along is not just to reconnect with him; it actually serves a grander purpose, which is that Felicity is somebody who knows how difficult it is to have teammates who are fighting crime. So, she’s there to offer some sage advice, both to Barry and to to Caitlin, Cisco, and Wells. So we’re really excited,”

Looks like we can expect some early conflict between Barry and his new friends. This will be the first in what should be many crossovers between The Flash world and the Arrow world, including a special two-hour event in episode 8. Check out the new stills from the pilot below!

Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along. Barry’s latest obsession is a cutting edge particle accelerator, created by visionary physicist Harrison Wells and his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who claim that this invention will bring about unimaginable advancements in power and medicine. However, something goes horribly wrong during the public unveiling, and when the devastating explosion causes a freak storm, many lives are lost and Barry is struck by lightning. After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed once again – the accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena. Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West
Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West

No matter how good it is it's still a CW show. It still has all the CW cliches that make it annoying. Iris who is basically the new Laurel, retarded love triangle that's there for no reason, annoying side characters, trying to be "Hip" and "Cool".

I went to Washington, DC a few weeks ago and had my girlfriend drive so that I could watch The Flash pilot on my phone with headphones in my ears.

I don't know if it was the sound blaring in my ears like I was in a movie theater or it was watching it in a car going 90mph on the Pennsylvania turnpike, but watching the pilot felt like a movie. I mean it FELT like a movie. You understand?

the VFX were pretty darn cool too. Hopefully it wasn't just for the pilot.

Can't wait for more..... can't wait for ZOOM!

Awesome, even though I haven't seen it yet.
Also, please DC, please make sure we get The Flash in the DCCU as well! It may not be this Flash, but I NEED to see The Flash beside Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. We need the core Justice League members together! IT MUST HAPPEN!!!

"Going Rogue"?

I swear, the more I hear about this show, the more I love it! Captain Cold appearing in the fourth episode (as opposed to the 17th, which is when he showed up in the '90s series), at the same time as Felicity shows up to resolve that whole romantic subplot from Arrow (rather than just leaving it dangling, which would be easy enough to do since they're on different T.V. shows now)? Weather Wizard in the pilot? Firestorm at least alluded to in the third episode?

Dammit, it needs to be October already!!!

I just watched the leaked pilot. Thought it was pretty good and I really like Grant Gustin as Barry Allen. I wanted to watch more episodes after it was over.

This show better be awesome. I'm willing to give it a watch even though i hate "Arrow" and i hate the way Olive Queen/Arrow is butchered on the show.

My main fear is that it's a CW show, so the soap opera drama would come first over the action and a strong cohesive plot that not only keeps teenager's interested but everyone.

She serves a "grander purpose" - whatcha reckons that means she gets kidnapped by Cold spurring Barry into action. Followed by some glib platitudes to him and the team members...
