The Flash is now officially available for purchase on digital OnDemand and to mark the occasion, the first 10 minutes of the film following the action-packed opening scene with Ben Affleck's Batman, have been released online.

Regardless of how you feel, the facts are that The Flash was a flop. In fact, it is the biggest superhero movie flop of all time, having grossed only $262 million worldwide against a production budget of $200–220 million, plus high marketing costs.

It is estimated that the film will lose Warner Bros. around $200 million.

It is unclear what the future holds for The Flash franchise, at the moment. It is possible that James Gunn and DC Studios will try to reboot the franchise and replace Ezra Miller.

However, it is probably more likely that Barry Allen will be swapped out for Wally West whenever the Scarlet Speedster graces the big screen next.

Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

@GhostDog - He was kinda right. Everyone's talking about the low box office and horrible SFX, lol

@GhostDog - This is basically what the whole production was counting on.

With better VFX and no Ezra Miller, this movie might have actually made bank. It would still be flawed but then so are a lot of very popular and successful cbms. Did anybody really care about the VFX and script issues on NWH?

Everybody was telling them why we wouldn't go see it when they were shooting the thing. Everybody was telling them what a bad idea it was to shoot with Ezra. And it just got worse and worse and that's when people wondered if they would reshoot it or cancel it.
When they didn't and they decided to release it, everybody was saying they were gonna boycott it on moral grounds. 100% of every YouTube review mentions the Ezra Miller controversy. About 60% mentions the the moral decision to not go see it and says that if you are deciding not to see it then that's understandable.

It's unfathomable that WB, WBD and DC Studios could all be so deaf to everyone's very loud complaints and that they just released the movie anyway.
So they deserve to have this movie flop as badly as it did.
You hear that Warners?

As stupid as it sounds in the wake of all this flop, this movie had the potential to make a billion dollars (or two).
All those people who suggested they spend an extra $150 million to reshoot it? They were right.

This movie lost more than what it would have cost to reshoot. Let that sink in.
