Jaimie Alexander Teases THOR: THE DARK WORLD Character Interaction And Potential Trilogy

Further implying that a love triangle will unfold in Thor: The Dark World, Jaimie Alexander reveals a pivotal character she'll share scenes with, while Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje talks more.

While discussing their roles in comeback vehicles for Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sylvester Stallone, The Last Stand & Bullet to the Head, Jaimie Alexander and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje have been amplifying anticipation for Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World this past week. Now during more recent interviews, the ‘Sif’ actress reveals a pivotal character she’ll interact with in the sequel, while the ‘Algrim the Strong/Kurse’ actor explains initially being confused by the dual Dark Elf character.

Upon request, Alexander revealed to Bleeding Cool a question journalists have yet to ask about her Asgardian warrior-goddess: “Nobody asked me do I have any scenes with Jane Foster,” she quipped, before laughing. “There may be a few!” In a separate chat with Total Film, Jaimie discussed her mult-picture deal with Marvel and whether she's been informed of future movies post-The Dark World. “I think they keep it secret mostly because they know that we might slip and accidentally say something. I think it’s no secret that Marvel tries to make as many films as they can, so that possibility of there being a third installment of Thor is a strong possibility - I mean, we’ve seen it over and over again - but, we still don’t know. And like with this one, I was told for certain that it was happening about a month before I flew here. I mean, it’s like you know it’s happening, but they won’t really confirm it until the last possible minute. So, I know when to start lifting weights. I do it two or three months ahead of time now so I don’t have to overdo it. But I’m like, ‘I know it’s coming around at about this time, so let me start lifting weights again!’”

Meanwhile, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje admitted to FAULT mag: “When I was first approached about the role, I was a little confused, because my perception of an elf was a dwarf, and I thought, ‘This is interesting - are they going to morph me int this dwarf character?’ But, actually, It’s a very interesting take on a dark elf: this creature who is dark because he comes from a dark world. I can’t tell you that much, but I can tell you Marvel are going all-out to really give this character an incredible visual impact. It's exciting for me, not just as an actor, but as a guy.”

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios.

Jaimie is awesome. Loved her as Sif in the first one. Always wondered why Thor settled for Natalie Portman when he could have her.

Well I think we could all agree some type of scene w Darcy, Jane, and Sif, sweatily hugging or something would be ideal, It's hard not to like Natalie Portman, but obviously the character of Lady Sif is a bad ass.

Really stoked regardless on so many levels.

Ha forgot to mention that this is coming out in November making the South Park connection. Ha . . .and this planet over here nobody really cares about. Miles Standoff. My role models in for reals are Eric Cartman and Jimmy Page. Yeah. I need to start boning more chicks and doing more drugs. . .

Really not to sound like a wuss but Marvel makes movies chicks will like. Imagine taking a chick to Green Lantern for instance. The chick would probably think you were a geek or something. Now imagine taking a chick to see the Avengers and then afterwards she would probably want to practice making babies
