Potential THOR: RAGNAROK And CAPTAIN MARVEL Shooting Location Revealed

Neither movie has a director attached and one doesn't even have a cast, but Captain Marvel and Thor: Ragnarok may be taking advantage of the tropical beaches and jungle of a certain international location; and it's one where no Marvel Studios production has ever gone before.

Now that filming for Captain America: Civil War can be marked off of Marvel's to-do list, and production on Doctor Strange is gearing up for a November start date, the studio will soon focus attention on its third "Phase Three" movie, Thor: Ragnarok. There is no director yet attached, nor has there been any casting news beyond the actors expected to reprise their Asgardian roles. However, Chris Hemsworth's fifth turn as the God of Thunder may already have a filming location.

According to Yahoo7 News, Disney has been so pleased with shooting Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in Australia, that they are now considering bringing both Thor: Ragnarok and Captain Marvel to the Oceanian country. “They were also able to work across a lot of different locations which has saved them scouting for the Marvel movie,” said the source. While Marvel's first female-led superhero movie wouldn't start production for another year or so, the God of Thunder's third solo outing "would shoot in Queensland early next year, with production beginning in earnest in March." This would be especially convient for leading Chris Hemsworth given the Aussie actor currently lives not too far from where the proposed filming would occur.

Australia is also where principal photography is scheduled to take place for Kong: Skull Island, which stars Tom Hiddleston who is set to return as the God of Mischief Loki in Thor: Ragnarok.

With summer just about over, hopefully we will find out who Marvel Studios is at least considering to direct and star in Thor: Ragnarok and Captain Marvel. In the meantime, look for the former movie in theaters on November 3, 2017, and the latter on November 2, 2018. What do you think?

Jackson is done. Kong and the Hobbit films were mediocre. I'd rather have Guillermo del Toro write and direct Ragnarok.

While the thor movies aren't exactly known for practical effects, yes

Besides the Nolan Batman films, Cap films, & Raimi Spidey films; all your superhero films don't use mostly practical effects.

Stop bitching from both sides.

@BlkThunderGod i hope they dont use surtur in Thor 3. He deserves a trilogy for just himself. I really want to see walters surtur saga on film.
Thor 4: Ballad of beta ray bill (invasion and destruction of korbin take place during the events of infinity war)
Thor 5: The Children of the Flame
Thor 6: The Twilight of the Gods (the actual ragnarock in the mcu).

Thor 3 villians should primarily be Loki, Amora, Skurge or mangog and Thanos. And all 4 of them survive.

In that trilogy which im the process of writing, im introducing balder, karnilla, the norns, harokin, brumhillda and her valkaries, eitri and his dwarves, the light elves of alfheim, utgard loki. And then i will give surtur a series of champions who will help lead his extremely vast army through the realms and then onto midgard where they will try to reach asgard from there. On midgard somewhere in norway the battle will take place between the full might of asgard (heroes and villians who have joined forces except loki), the Avengers and defenders, dr strange, BRB and Skuttlebutt and a Richard Rider as Nova Prime. Only for surtur to break through to asgard where he will engage thor first then balder then when all is lost and he is within feet of the eternal flame in all his 300ft glory he is engaged by loki and then all 3 fight him. Well thats how i rougly imagine the final battle.

Yeah, I would give Thanos a pretty minimal role in Ragnorak. He's got two whole Avengers movies to wreak havoc and explore his character. I would hope for more a Midgard Serpent, Fenris Wolf, destruction of Asgard so it poses no threat to Thanos when he arrives type of thing.

I would like to see at least one more Thor movie after this one with the same director who does Ragnarok.. Thor needs some consistency in his franchise
