Thor VS. Moby Dick: First Trailer & Poster For IN THE HEART OF THE SEA

This upcoming high-seas adventure/drama from director Ron Howard stars Chris Hemsworth as the captain of a whaling crew who come under attack by the legendary giant whale. This is apparently based on the true story that inspired Herman Melville's classic novel.

In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story. “Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.

The movie also stars Cillian Murphy, Ben Whishaw, Benjamin Walker, Tom Holland, Brendan Gleeson, Michelle Fairley, Charlotte Riley and Jordi Mollà. In the Heart of the Sea opens on March 15, 2015.

@TheRealRemyLebeau

That's because Cavil is fully booked as said high flying god/godlike figure until 2022 in solo superman films and Justice League films as well as cameo's in plenty of other DCCU films

Where as your boy Hemsworth will be forced to play The Huntsman till he's old and grey after Thor 3 and Avengers 3

How cool would it be to have this as your office chair? Not 30 grand cool, but still cool. Was owned by Giger himself.

Yeah, I don't know about this. I love Ron Howard and Chris Hemsworth, but this seems kind of hokey. I would much rather this have been Herman Melville's Moby Dick, instead of some bullshit, obviously a lie, "true story". It's like those horror movies that claim to be based on true stories, I just have no interest.

In the Heart of the Sea is a nonfiction work from 2001 that uses accounts from the survivors of a whaleship attack in the South Pacific in 1820.

Chris Hemsworth was great in Rush, no wonder why Ron Howard is working with him again.
A couple more movies like Rush and Hemsworth will be a big star outside Marvel movies
