While chatting with MTV News Tom Hiddleston recently talked about his favorite scene for the Summer blockbuster movie Thor was. Hiddleston said it is the scene involving him and Anthony Hopkins when Loki finds out that he is Laufey's son.

"I have a number of favorite scenes. Probably my favorite scene of all, just because it was a great day at work and will go down into my top ten days of work in my whole acting life, was the scene with [Anthony] Hopkins in the vault, when I find out that I’m Laufey’s son. Up until that point we’d shot only action."

"The first proper acting scene on the schedule was that scene between Odin and Loki and it was Tony’s first day at work and he was excited and thrilled to be working with Kenneth [Branagh], and Ken was excited and thrilled to be working with Tony. At one point I thought to myself, ‘I am in a room with Kenneth Branagh and Anthony Hopkins and it’s incredible.’ The scene was just really fun and Ken made us all feel so safe and free to experiment and to play."

Hiddleston went on to reveal that his second favorite scene didn't even make it in to the theatrical version of the movie. But don't fret the scene is said to be included in the special features of the home video release of Thor.

"There is a scene between Chris [Hemsworth] and myself at the very beginning of the film just before the coronation, which I guess didn’t make it in because you’ve got the scene with the two boys, which does the same job in a way. It’s just before he’s being crowned king and we’re sort of teasing each other, I’m teasing him about whether he's ready, he puts on his helmet and I say ‘Nice feathers’ and he says, 'You’re not going to start this again,' we’re just being brothers. I turn to him and say, ‘I know, I’m joking. I’m very prod of you and I love you,’ and Ken made me play it absolutely straight so [Loki] means it at this point. They start out as two brothers who love each other in the most fraternal, epic way, and then the journey of the film splits them and turns them into adversaries. I was sad to see that one go."

Both faves of mine as well. The first scene should have been in the movie because it makes you care more for the characters. Another deleted scene, where Loki's with his mom and the sleeping Odin and the guards come in to give him the staff... also should have been kept in. I guess they didn't want you caring too much for Loki since he's the "bad guy"?

My favorite scene was when the movie ENDED.
As soon as the credits began I was like
"Oh Shit, Loki's gonna [frick] things up in The Avengers!"
"Oh shit, it comes out NEXT YEAR!"
:p

My favorite scene was Thor showing his humility/sacrifice, getting whacked by the Destroyer (fatally), and then his redemption/getting Mjolnir back and KICKING THE DESTROYER'S A$$!!!

Of course that was his favorite scene. Was his best in terms of interpretation.

To me the best action scene was the Jotunheim one, and the best acting was this Loki/Odin one, and the scene when Thor is held captive and apologize to Loki and is tricked by him. We can see how Loki is a mother[frick]er there

My favorite scene is when Thor tries to reclaim Mjolnir and can't lift it. The emotion and rage in that scene are PERFECT! Hemsworth and Hiddleston were indeed great choices for Thor and Loki.

The movie was just marvelous, the costumes were unbelievable, and the action in this movie was flawless, imo. The scene between Loki and Odin was powerful! Really felt sorry for Loki during that scene.

Can't wait to get this movie, man!!! :)

but the scene before the coronation WON'T make sense, since Loki's already plotted to ruin that day by aiding the giants to enter Asgard. by then, Loki's already turned bad by jealousy.
