Speaking to
MTV, Rosie Huntington-Whitely - who portrays love interest Carly in the soon-to-be-released
Transformers film,
Dark Of The Moon - discusses her originally auditioning for the role, saying it was the first time she'd audition for a movie. She also recalls when director Michael Bay let her in the movie, and also talks about the possibility of her being in more big-screen films in the future.
On auditioning for a movie for the first time...
I went to the audition and really I knew nothing about the role. No one had said anything; it was just a role in Transformers, so I kind of thought it would be an extra part or a cameo or something. I went in a bit blind and also, it was my first-ever audition. I went in completely not knowing what I was doing. I left feeling not confident.
He [Michael Bay] was like, 'Yeah, you're the girl.'
On the different elements she used in her performance as Carly...
Yeah, I've been so lucky because doing this film, I got to try a little bit of everything. There's something for everyone in it: there's the romance, the comedy, the drama, the action, there's the special effects.
On the possibility of seeing her do another film in the future...
I'm really hoping to do another movie. I'm working toward that, although I very much hope to stay in the fashion industry; it's my first love. We'll see what happens. I've got no idea.
