When does the new season start? Now that there's nothing else on due to the summer hiatus, it'd be great if Walking Dead season 2 started already!

@California

Unfortunely, we have to wait until October during Frightfest. On Halloween.

I can not wait! I'm a huge fan of the comics and the series. There are differences, but they're understandable and the show keeps very true to the spirit if not the specifics of the source material.

what i meant was i like my movies & tv shows to follow the source material as close as possible.

if i read the comics & discovered the tv show swayed to far from the comic.

i may like it less than i do now.

@Marvel72 - I generally agree with you there. We get an idea about how something should look, and when someone else interprets that differently than you or I do, it makes it hard to like. HOWEVER, I think Walking Dead (tv show) gives us a story that veers from the comic, which I am ok with, as there were some things in the comic that I don't think would translate well to the small screen. I look at it like I look at Dexter (I've read all the books). I am getting two different storylines in two different mediums. I'm ok with the televised versions taking bits and pieces from the print material and using WHAT WORKS on the screen. Most, if not all of the super hero movies do the same. If they do it well, like Dexter and Walking Dead, I'm ok with it. Go get those comics. You will not be disapointed, AND you won't necessarily know what's coming!

The show doesn't come close to the books,but it's still head and shoulders over most other shows.I watch it and appreciate it for what it is :)
