ARROW Episode 202 'Identity' Poll & Discussion

ARROW Episode 202 'Identity' Poll & Discussion

Oliver (Stephen Amell) just went toe-to-toe with China White (Kelly Hu) and Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) but that conflict may have been second to the fledgling media war begun by Sebastian [Brother] Blood (Kevin Alejandro). What did you enjoy the most, the fights or the mind games?

The Arrow team of Oliver, Diggle(David Ramsey) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) continues to have very strong chemistry. The same can't be said for Laurel (Katie Cassidy) as her sudden turn on The Hood/Arrow seems incredibly misguided. Perhaps, this is just a means to a new role for Cassidy's character as the writers can't possibly be thinking of keeping her in that same frame of mind all season long...can they? Bronze Tiger's introduction was brief but it packed a lot of vigor. We'll definitely be seeing him again on the Suicide Squad when they're introduced later this season.

Arrow season 2 premiere City of Heroes

"DC COMICS’ BRONZE TIGER AND CHINA WHITE WREAK HAVOC ON THE GLADES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) finds out the medicine that is being sent to Glades Memorial is being hijacked by thieves. Without an influx of supplies, the hospital will close. Roy (Colton Haynes) attempts to stop the thieves, but he fails and is arrested by Officer Lance (Paul Blackthorne). Oliver gets into a heated battle with China White (guest star Kelly Hu) and her new partner, Ben Turner, AKA the Bronze Tiger (guest star Michael Jai White), over the supplies. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) makes plans to catch the Arrow, and Thea (Willa Holland) gives Roy an ultimatum. Nick Copus directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Beth Schwartz (#202)."

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

Great episode. As annoying as the whole Laurel situation is, it does have me curious to how it'll all pan out.

@Nomis Your right, Diggle did have the best line of the night, but it was "It could be worse, my secret identity is his Black driver".

This episode was beyond amazing! The best in the series in my opinion!

Brilliant how they had Oliver had to choose between being a responsible business leader and a responsible hero to the people. Love those shades of grey.

Also, Diggle and Felicity's problems and frustrations coming from Oliver's duality is a great plot point I hope they put more into in future episodes.

Also, the cliffhanger was brilliant too. Glad they're taking notes from Breaking Bad on that one.

Ummmmm are you being serious? Because for some reason I thought you disliked Arrow..........

But with China White in custody, Bronze Tiger can be brought back as a major player this season. He could orchestrate a breakout for her, he could take over her role as assassin for the triad. I think they're just getting started with MJW on Arrow.

@soforizo, Why are you getting angry with my opinion? I was simply stating the episode could have been handled better.

I would say my standards are better than you since you're a womanizer.

No! I loved this show from the first episode before they hit their stride mid 1st season.

Brilliant writing especially now in this season.

My favorite part about this show is that they really listen to the feedback from the fans and they make a point to tell that in interviews.

Love this show

Yeah they talked about how people were saying that too many people knew Oliver's secret identity and that they needed to pull back on that.

Also, the whole "hood" and "vigilante" name thing and that people want him to be called arrow and not do the whole Smallville thing where they never call him Superman.

Also, they also have said they have a situation where they will have the boxing glove arrow work in a real world situation.

The reason Deadshot is alive is because fans where really vocal about Arrow killing him and Arrow not being a killer. That's why this season has really taken a turn because we here were very vocal about it. They've said several time they read the fan feedback so I'm sure they visit CBM often.

I'm just glad they didn't kill off Michael Jai White/ Bronze Tiger. Plus, it did not say he was arrested so I hope to see him again soon.
