ARROW Producer Reveals When They Start Shooting THE FLASH's Small Screen Debut

While we already know which episodes of Arrow The Flash will appear in ahead of being given his own CW series, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has now revealed when exactly they will shoot Barry Allen's first appearance, giving us an idea of when the iconic character will be cast!

With some claiming that Warner Bros. and the CW will begin testing actors for the role of Dr. Barry Allen/The Flash over the next week or two, Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has told Entertainment Weekly when exactly they are planning on shooting his first appearance in the series. "We’ll have to have somebody by Sept. 30, which is when we start shooting [his first] episode. So there is that timeline. But it’s been a really exciting process just getting to meet so many fantastic actors and seeing the enthusiasm that so many people around town have for the character. It’s just amazing — I have pictures of myself at age 4 holding a Flash and a Superman doll. That I’m sitting here writing the Flash and Green Arrow now, it’s more than my little nerd heart can bear sometimes." On second thoughts, it sounds as if they've already been meeting with some actors! Whether they go for a complete unknown or someone we're at least a little familiar with remains to be seen, as does the possibility of the planned series taking place in the DC Cinematic Universe. Be sure to stay tuned to CBM for updates!

I think the inclusion of Flash confirms Arrow is set in the DCCU.

@Marauder give it a second thought, if arrow is in the DCCU, no need to introduce him, just have him show up at the end of the movie right there in the clímax and BOOM there goes the dynamite!!! Isn't it great?????

So... WHO PLAYS FLASH? When they will anounce the actor??

Jensen Ackles would make a great Flash if he wasn't busy shooting Supernatural. Season 1 of The Flash will probably run concurrently with Supernatural Season 10. Anyway, there's plenty of actors that could pull it off, it's a whose who as far as guessing who they'll cast. It might be an unknown (shrugs).

If they turn down his ridiculously over amped powers then they might be on to something.

My guess is they would have to cast someone in the next week or 2 max. There's costume fittings and a script to memorize, etc.

Instead of giving Flash his own movie, he has to start off in a television series??? To WB I say this:

@BlackLanternFroggy

That is a sick ass photoshop, and now that you mention it, he would be a good Hal as well. Main reason I said Flash is because Ackles already has CW ties, and he's one of the more famous actors on that network. I know he said he wanted to be Batman in that one article before Batfleck, and I wasn't opposed. He would be a much better Hal though I'll admit.

Honestly though, why does Slade/Deathstroke look like crap? One of the coolest characters out there. Hopefully he'll get an amazing costume soon, especially if Flash is debuting, and ESPECIALLY if they're including all of this in the DCCU. I can see why he got the short end of the stick when they were avoiding all the 'fanastical' stuff, but now that they've thrown that out the window, it's time to beef up everyone's gear

I can't wait for season 2 to start and I wanna see who's gonna play the Flash. Let's see if they go for a big(ger than Amell) name actor. And I'd like to see Arrow in JL and Felicity become Oracle.

Sorry, John Wesley Shipp... but you had a good run.
