While it had been heavily rumored for several weeks now, tonight's episode finally saw original cast member Willa Holland officially leave the series as Thea Queen embarked on her own adventure with Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) to find and destroy the three remaining Lazarus Pits her dead father (John Barrowman) left behind.

While Holland didn't provide any comment regarding her departure, which has reportedly been in the works since the end of season four, executive producer Marc Guggenheim - who played a part in sidelining Thea in favor of Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) these past few seasons - provided the following statement to The Hollywood Reporter, "We’re very sad to see Willa go. She’s been a critical part of Arrow since its inception and a wonderful and talented person to boot. But we’re in our sixth season now and supportive of her wish to stretch her legs and pursue other creative opportunities. The door is always open for Willa to return if she has a hankering to."

Guggenheim said this on EW about this too that caught my eye:

"Even the characters who have been killed off are never gone"

Unless you are Laurel Lance, right?

I really hope Willa Holland returns along with Roy and Nyssa. At least Colton Haynes nor Katrina Law have been quoted nor said anywhere that they are done. But seriously I would like to see them back and get an update on this subplot because it sounds a lot more interesting than the internal conflict within the team and the up and downs of the villain group.

I really hope they try to pick this up in a web series or something. There is also Legends. Oh well, until next time with them.

Diggle needs to calm down wow.
