At the recent Phoenix Comic Con in Arizona, Arrow star Stephen Amell was asked a few questions about the future of Harley Quinn in the show, which cameoed in episode 16, as played by Cassidy Alexa and voiced by Tara Strong. Read on to see what he said!

When asked by a fan about Quinn's cameo in Episode 16 "Suicide Squad" and her possible future in the show, Steven Amell responded "I don't know if she's going to be involved in Season Three, but the high-pitched voice in Episode 16 was absolutely Harley Quinn," Amell admitted that "I didn't know about any of this, by the way, because I wasn't in that scene. But I'm a fan and I remember seeing that preview and feeling like I should have known that this was going to happen!" He finished the interview by moving onto the season 2 finale, saying that "I also know that there was an additional scene with that character in the finale -- again, still in the cell, still with her back to us -- but it had to be cut for time."
Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatric intern at Arkham Asylum. While researching the lunatics at Arkham, she became fascinated with one particular inmate. Ambitiously volunteering to analyze him, she pleaded with the doctors at Arkham for three months before she could treat him. After he gained her sympathy during their sessions, he seduced her, causing her to fall madly in love with him. After helping him escape from the asylum more than once Harleen was suspected by the authorities, who revoked her license and placed her in her own cell. During an earthquake in Gotham City, she fled and became Harley Quinn, the sidekick to the Clown Prince of Crime himself, the Joker.

Batman & Green Arrow share some of the same rogue villains, so it's no biggie to me.

On a side does anyone know when that new info was going to be released for Superman V. Batman. They said it would be released today and everyone was speculating it was going to be Wonder Womans suit or something dealing with a location in the movie.

That was a shame. During the finale when Diggle was releasing the Squad I got excited thinking Harley was going to be a surprise entrant into the festivities and nope. Still love the sow and Amell(he is awesome) but they need to stop with the tease and just make her a full fledged character.

Tara Strong's voice is absolutely perfect for Harley.
But not sure if I'd want to see her appear and be continually dubbed by Tara.

I want Hannah Murray (from Skins) as Harley.

Ugh. Crappy backpedaling. We aren't going to get Harley in the show. It was a lame tease to hype what was otherwise a dull episode. We won't get the Joker or Batman to appear in Arrow either.

This is one of the many problems I have with Arrow. They tease characters as fan service, but have no intention of actually using them in the story. It's like Smallville all over again. Maybe they can put together a Junior Lifeguard Association; you know, cause JLA.

Weak.

Big reason why Arrow/Flash should be left out of the DCCU right here. They have used way too many characters from the source material already. The DCCU movies would be seriously limited if they had to tiptoe around the characters that have already been used in this show. I want A-List actors for Green Arrow, Deathstroke, Flash, and Black Canary.

Fu*k A List actors!

Sometimes A List actors aren't the be all & end all for roles in movies.

Not everybody from TV can translate to Big screen movies, sure, but Stephen Amell & Manu Bennett would totally rock the big screen no problem with Cavill & Affleck & in the movie verse & Gustin's charm (And I wasn't happy about him being picked to play Flash originally at first but he won me over) would bring some great interaction to the Justice League.

I've said it many times before & I'll say it again, Warner Brothers are absolutely stupid if they don't tie Arrow & The Flash TV Shows to the DCCU.

We don't need the Joker or Batman to appear in Arrow, because that is something they could / can keep for the movies where they cross paths.

Like I've said before, Arrow and Flash don't get enough viewers on the CW to really think that it would really benefit the franchise having them in the film-verse.

Also, you get problems arising with the standard of CGI from TV to Film, the efforts of having to continually tie in Arrow to the current Man of Steel mass destruction elements that happened,

SHIELD works (kinda) because they made the show AFTER they knew what they were doing with the movies, so they could tie everything from the movies into the storylines of the show. But still, even SHIELD feels like it's MCCU's bitch.

You may have been able to convince me before Flash was cast, but I'm quite sure WB will want to go get a better actor for Barry Allen.

I dont get why Tara could not appear as her in the cameo...but oh well maybe it's just me. Really hope to see more of her and they should keep doing supporting character/backstory developments like this, they really evolve the character and make the fans love them.

What I don't understand is why you wouldn't just cast Tara Strong as Harley in body and voice. She looks the part, and has done live action before.
