GOTHAM: New Images See 'Fish' Back On Top; Plus More On 'The Joker'

Well, if it really was the Joker spotted in that promo for next week's episode that is. Misdirection or not, we know the actor playing that laughing kid, and the character's name. We also have a new still from the ep featuring Jada Pinkett-Smith's Fish Mooney. Check it out...

Gotham - The Blind Fortune Teller

Following last night's "The Scarecrow" episode of Gotham we saw a promo for next week's instalment, "The Blind Fortune Teller", and it certainly seemed to tease the introduction of the Joker. Some think it might have been a red herring, but Fox and co. clearly want us to think that the sinister young man laughing hysterically while being interrogated by Gordon is the character that will eventually become the Clown Prince of Crime. That remains to be seen, but thanks to IGN we do know that the actor playing him is 21-year-old Cameron Monaghan (Shameless, Vampire Academy, The Giver), and the character's name is "Jerome". How will this disturbed lad factor into the events of an episode that will also introduce "The Flying Graysons"? Find out next Monday. In the meantime, we also have this new image from the ep. Clearly Miss Mooney didn't waste any time establishing her dominance!

LIFE IN GOTHAM BECOMES A THREE-RING CIRCUS ON AN ALL-NEW “GOTHAM” MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, ON FOX Gordon takes Dr. Leslie Thompkins (guest star Morena Baccarin) to the circus, but the day turns quickly when the circus comes under attack. Then, Falcone enlists Butch Gilzean to help Penguin with the night club, while Fish Mooney is otherwise occupied. Also, Bruce Wayne schedules a meeting with the Wayne Enterprises board in the all-new “The Blind Fortune Teller” episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Feb. 16 (8:00-9:00 ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-116) (TV-14 D, L, V) Cast: Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, Andrew Stewart Jones as Crispus Allen, John Doman as Carmine Falcone

I was really starting to get invested in the show, but the midseason break killed a lot of the momentum for me.

I watch this show..simply cuz I love comics..and the characters..etc..but..honestly it isn't the best nor the worse(Constantine..agents of shield)..in my plot..this show should have started with Bruce in his teens..at least 15....I feel you could do more with his character..ultimately..sadly..that's y people..dislike..in the end..we want batman..or at least..a teenager..showing signs..idk..but right now..I don't see the show making multiple seasons...but I wish them..luck..always wanna see dc..do well..btw..flash show..is best hero..show..so far..

I thought Fish would bite it at the end of the season but Maroni seems more likely.

Perfect scenario;
Step 1; Introduce multiple characters who all share aspects of the Joker
Step 2; Have several stories with the Flying Graysons, each having a different character who has motives to kill them who shares aspects with the Joker
Step 3; Do a story that introduces a criminal gang led by a leader wearing a Red hood
Step 4; Have the Red hooded leader kill the Flying Graysons
Step 5; Have Gordon track down the leader of said criminal gang and unmask someone he believes to be the leader wearing a Red Hood, who turns out to be one of the multiple characters introduced prior.
Step 6; Have a corrupt police officer kill off this character as vengance for something that happened to him.
Step 7; Have the leader of the criminal gang adress Gotham on TV and organise a massive attack on Gotham, in which all the gang wear Red hoods, casting doubt as to whether the person they caught is really the leader

I really dont get why they`re pushing Fish as some significant character.Because as time tells us, shes more or less a footnote in Gotham history.

BIRDS OF PREY was better than this shite.
SMALLVILLE was better than this shite.
FLASH 90s and FLASH now is better than this shite.
A Night in Bludhaven the fan film is better than this shite.

Nothing is worse than Gotham and its because the acting is horrid. Everyone is off the page. One person is acting film noir, another is being campy, another is being ultra serious, some are over the top unbelievable. Just pick a [frick]ing style for the show and make a good show. Then we will forget that BATMAN IS NEVER GOING TO BE IN THIS SHOW. The premise is fine- its a Cops and Gangsters show- but just be that and stop with the parade of Batman's rogue's gallery. Nobody needed to see Ivy or Joker or Catwoman. Penguin sure, Black Mask, Sal Maroni, Carmine Falcone. Didn't need rapey vibe Riddler 15 years before Bruce would ever be Batman. Vomit.

People who don't like this series. Don't watch it! Or should I say, stop watching it, cause you seem to know everything that's going on for someone who claims to hates it! The bottom line....the show is doing great without you, so move on! That real piece of crap will be back on Tue. nights soon. That should tickle your balls!

I hope in a way that is the Joker. That kid is awesome in Shameless and plays a manic-depressive incredibly well. Good show but moving waaaaay too fast plot and character wise.

I love this show. I think the people that hate it just want Batman in it. I think its great. Gordon is a good character with lots to explore. Jada Pinkett over the top? Yes, because its a comic book cop show. But I think its her best role. Penguin? Best version ever put on film. He's not the only reason to watch, but he is the best reason.

Is this show perfect? No. But its a crap ton better than Arrow. Arrow is just a good looking guy with no personality at all, in a Batman knock off situation. Not to mention how it's taken 3 season to explore his origin & we're still not done.

My only knock on Gotham is trying to introduce too many villains early on, when the payoff won't happen for years. I don't need to see Poison Ivy hanging out with Catwoman as little girls. However, Riddler & Penguin meeting was pretty cool. Very well done.

Finally, I think its all in the expectations. The way I see it, its a cop/mafia show with a few known crazies sprinkled in, in a make believe city we all love. This isn't the Dark Knight. But in my opinion, as far as television goes, its the next best thing.

I watch the show, but I can't stand any of the kids, especially Bruce. I can't stand Alfred. I can't stand Fish. The rest I can tolerate. The best episodes are the ones that don't have Bruce in them.
