Not that it'll matter, because you'll still whine and tell me I have to give the show a chance before I decide to hate it... but sure.

First, I dislike the premise of the show. Batman exists for the simple reason that Gotham is a corrupt, crime-infested cesspool of a city. So, this show, if it were to lead in to Batman showing up in the series finale or something like that... It must show the police fail, over and over, and over and over. If they're successful in stopping the villains they've introduced already, like Fish Mooney, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy...there goes a lot of reasons for Batman to exist. Why would I want to watch a show to see the good guys fail day in and day out?

Second, I don't like what they are doing to the villains they are using. Preteen Catwoman and Poison Ivy (wait, Ivy Pepper, nice name, what was wrong with Pamela Isley?) Oswald Cobblepot, who for some reason is a scrawny guy with a big nose...even though he got his Penguin nickname in grade school for being overweight and waddling like a penguin. Fish Mooney? All the great mob families in Gotham, and they invent a mob boss for the big bad? C'mon...

Also, with the villains. A lot of Batman's villains were not around until he was. It doesn't make sense for them to be there. Especially the bullshit foreshadowing of the Joker...that's ridiculous.

Thirdly, Jada Pinkett-Smith is a big factor in me not wanting to watch. She is a disgustingly bad actress. She is the worst part of every movie she has been in (even when said movie stars Queen Latifah), and has not one single career credit playing a bad guy. Knowing that it's infinitly more difficult to play evil compared to good, her career gives me no confidence that she can pull off a proper DC villain.

If it makes you feel any better, you won't see me on Gotham articles for much longer. I've made it clear that once the show airs, I will not be commenting on the articles, because then I would just be ridiculous. I have no plans on watching the show, so once I fall b ehind in what's going on, I'll have no opinion.

But since I'm at the same level as everyone else right now, I have no problem bashing Gotham, because everything I have seen looks terrible to me.

So, in summary, it looks bad, sometimes worse than bad, and I have no problem voicing my opinion on what I've seen. If you don't like my opinion, and it bothers you, rustles your jimmies, or otherwise affects your day...Call your momma and cry because she raised a pussy.

I must admit, I love the character of Harvey Bullock and I don't think they could have found a more perfect fit for this particular role. I also love Donal Lougue. From Blade, to Grounded for Life, to the Patriot, to so many other roles that I could probably list for 24 hours. He has just been great. I wish him luck on this show and this portrayal. He looks great in the hat, too. Ha. Harvey Bullock finally being realized on screen is awesome. The actor in this role is awesome. Bring it on. I'm also wondering if they will show him as his cigar chomping self and Gordon with his love/hate relationship with cigarettes. Hope they stay loyal to the material that came before.

My apologies for overreacting. I tend to get tired of people asking others to explain an opinion, especially if it's as cut and dried and calling something shit. No one ever asks grif to explain his opinions, lol.

So, I apologize for jumping on ya like that, but everything about this show seems to get me a little riled up. My bad.

@AlphaAndDecima

No worries, we all have opinions. We definitely disagree on this one.

I get that Gotham is somewhat a 'means justifying the end' type of premise...but I just can't get on board with that. It's almost a spoiler knowing that the police are going to eventually lose, regardless of the small victories they will get. I just can't bring myself to watch when I know how it ends.
