Nicholas D'Agosto To Play 'Harvey Dent' (a.k.a. 'Two Face') In Season One Of GOTHAM

Another iconic future villain has been added to the cast of Gotham's first season, and it's none other than the man who will one day become Two-Face! While some comics have portrayed him as the same age as Bruce Wayne, the casting of this Masters of Sex actor indicates otherwise...

There had been talk of bringing Harvey Dent to Gotham (Donal Logue actually confirmed it when I recently had the chance to speak to him), and now Masters of Sex actor Nicholas D'Agosto has been cast in the role. Recent comics in "The New 52" showed Bruce Wayne and Harvey as being around the same age, but the Batman prequel series will obviously portray him as being a little older than the man he one day fights alongside before an altercation with Sal Maroni transforms him into Two-Face. According to Deadline, "Harvey Dent is a bright, charming, idealistic Assistant District Attorney whose sole mission is to eradicate the crime and corruption that has poisoned Gotham. Although he will one day serve as the white knight Gotham needs so badly as a DA, Dent also gives us a fleeting glimpse of the hideous villain he will become — Two-Face." D'Agosto was set to star in the scrapped How I Met Your Mother spin-off How I Met Your Dad and has appeared in both Heroes and The Office. How do you guys feel about this addition to Gotham

No, If anything Harvey should be a young law student. Personally i would like it if Harvey and Bruce are the same age.

I'm open to this like it's not like their 20 years apart they're probably 10 or 12 years apart which isn't that bad. I'm optimistic.

For the series finally they'll speed up time to show Bats hiding in the shadows.

This is a good cop show, but a bad comic book show considering how the comic is done. But I guess it's like a Fox/X-Men type of thing.

Harvey Dent's age is a non factor,well...about 10 yrs older or so is fine.
Don't think Bats should beat on a senior citizen.

@typicalfanboy

There's also the fact that on the show, Gordon is working with Selina Kyle who insists that everyone in the GCPD calls het "Cat".... I wonder if they will ever figure out who "Cat" Woman is??

The Bruce/Gordon relationship is off too, Bruce respects Gordon more than he does Alfred on the show, can't stand it

Next they'll be putting Thomas Elliot in as a 30 year old...

Oh, what?
Why are they so desperately trying to have famous Bat-villains while Bruce is still a teenager? You can't have your cake and eat it, too! If they wanted to make a young Batman show, they should've just made a young Batman show!

Tsk! Just as expected. In order to make the show relevant, they will have to bring in Batman's Rogue Villains (before they ever became his villains)... The thing is, all the important ones are being brought in at ages which will make them pensioners by the time Batman ever appears... It's ridiculous!
It's a wonder why they didn't chose an actress in her late twenties to portray Catwoman as well..

Why the hell does everyone here act like this is canon? Seriously? Treat it for what it is. An elseworld story. Also most if not all the future Batman villains are at most 10 years older than Bruce considering he's 12 in this show. So @Diamondz no, he won't be beating up a 60y/o Dent. Seriously, most of the complaints for this show are so random it's annoying. Gotham is so far has been leagues better than most of Arrow's first season.

After Gotham - "ERMAHGURD! TU MANI ESTUR EGZ ON GOTHAM!"

After Arrow - "AUL TEH ARROW ESTUR EGZ R AMEZIN!"

I love this show, but STOP making all of Batman's enemies so much older than him. This actor is 34 for pete's sake.
