As we continue to recover from last night's Halloween festivities, Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif (Jab Tak Hai Jaan; Zero) has shared a few photos of her stunning Halloween costume, which saw the beloved Indian actress transform into the one-and-only Harley Quinn.
Her costume draws inspiration from Margot Robbie's version of Harley Quinn, specifically her look from 2020's Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), a film that saw the DC Comics antiheroine team up with The Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), amongst others.
While this is certainly a fantastic tease, Bollywood fans may not have to wait too long for Kaif to actually suit up as a superhero, as it was reported back in Summer 2020 that one of her next projects would be a superhero film from director and frequent collaborator Ali Abbas Zafar (Sultan; Gunday).
The potential film, which is still presumably in its planning stages, would be the duo's fourth project, having previously worked together on Mere Brother Ki Dulhan in 2011, Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017, and Bharat in 2019. Zafar also served as an assistant director on Kabir Khan's New York in 2009, which garnered Kaif her first of three career Filmfare Award nominations.
Kaif is a former model-turned-actress who has firmly established herself as one of India's most in-demand and highest-paid actresses. Her biggest films include Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Bang Bang!, Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom 3, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Race, Partner, Namastey London, and Zero.
She most recently starred in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi and can be seen next in Gurmmeet Singh's Phone Bhoot, which hits theaters this Friday. She will then return as Zoya in Tiger 3 next year, opposite Salman Khan.
