Human Target vs Smallville?

Human Target vs Smallville?

FOX Networks press release for their Fall 2010 schedule is Human Target season two will be Friday nights on the same day and time as another DC related TV show, Smallville...

Human Target's time slot is at 8pm Friday nights on FOX, so it seems both shows will be up against each other unless the CW Network change their slot for season 10 of Smallville of course, otherwise its going to be an all out DC war!

Christopher Chance vs Clark Kent?

This is really bad news for both fans of both TV shows and DC comic book fans too. Its great both got renewed but this could put a big dark cloud on things come Fall.

Thanks to the guys at KSITE.TV, link below.

LEEE777 - What is FOX thinking and more importantly what is DC comics thinking right now? Anyways thoughts and comments below.

well smallville doesnt care about ratings since its the final season regardless. and fox dumps all the shows it doesnt care about on fridays nights so its not a ringing endorsement for human target so i dont expect it to be around for a 3rd season. anyone remember terminator sarah conner chornicles? same deal.

I don't give a shit about either one of them, but I despise Smallville more than I'm not into Human Target, so I'd rather see HT stay.

I guess it really comes down to who actually watches tv on friday nights. If i had to go with the majority of the comic book fanboys, Smallville would rake in better ratings because it's in a superhero setting. If i had to go with the majority of the teens that spend their lives in their parents' basement, Smallville would still win because of the teeny crap factor. As for Human Target, i don't know anyone that actually watches a simple action oriented tv show on friday nights. It could be a decent show but it doesn't offer much to pull ratings on a friday night. It would almost have better chances if it aired at eleven after the news. I guess we can safely say that both shows won't be returning after their next season. The studios pretty much made sure of that.

Tyler- LMFAO!!!! "Cripple fight" is right on the money!!! ;P

Human Target is sooo much better than Smallville. It sucks to put such a good action show on Friday nights. Kind of a death sentence, but who knows.

Good stuff Lee!

I didn't want to give Human Target a shot because Fox likes to cripple my dreams when I get attached to a new show. I'm busy on Fridays so I always DVR Smallville anyway.

And season 9 was their best season that they've ever done.

Human Target is a fantastic show, but I am and always have been a faithful Smallville fan. To the end.

I also can't imagine that DC Entertainment will be too happy with this. One would think they would do something about having two of their own shows airing opposite each other like this.

PP @ I've watched CHUCK from the start even got a few ppl on here to watch it an DEXTER, yeah cool shows man!

Dude, 2 eps, you didn't give it a chance, theres some killer episodes since, and watch good about it, it don't really carry on, so you can miss an episode here or there and still know whats going on!

JLanphear @ Hopefully that'll happen!

Have not watched Human Target before so I'll stick with Burned Notice and Chuck hot chicks all the time on that show.

Smallville avid watcher it's not perfect but hey it's all we got with a Superman show. When we had a Batman show or even the Flash t.v show did fans complain? Hell yeah they did but we watched it anyways.

lets be honest, Human target is a good show. Smallville is getting better, plus it left us a pretty good cliffhanger and its gonna be its last season. There is no way Human Target is gonna have more than 2 seasons, smallville will own its final season. We are all booing it right now, but when season 10 episode 1 pops out, watch us giggle like little girls...lol

Damn, what a shame. Human Target is an awesome show. I'd hate to see it get canceled because it went up against something as pitiful as that superhero soap opera, Smallville.

I've got them both set on my PVR anyway. Quick question: does recording shows on a PVR screw with the shows ratings, or does that still count as a viewer in the polls? I don't want to be screwing my favourite shows.

The only reason I didn't watch Human Target except one marathon on FX is because I had no clue when it was on! This is great, I'll be sure to flip channels back and forth, the season finale got me back into smallville.

Hmmmm...perhaps this is a sign of new paradigm shift in entertainment media. If DVRs become the norm, then it won't matter what night of the week that these shows are slotted. It could be at 2am Monday morning and it won't really matter. Though, I think most people do not have DVRs and so this is still a bad sign. Too bad. Loved what I watched. Perhaps there is still time to protest this move with the FOX Network.
