LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Alum Brandon Routh Says His Arrowverse Exit Was "Was Not Well Handled"

Legends of Tomorrow is a matter of weeks away from losing original cast member Brandon Routh, and the former Superman believes that his exit was not well handled and doesn't adhere to the comic books!

Last summer, it was revealed that hunky Arrowverse actor Brandon Routh and his beautiful real-life wife Courtney Ford had been politely fired from Legends of Tomorrow, and the former Superman made a point of telling his loyal Instagram followers that his exit was "not my choice."

In an interview with Smallville alum Michael Rosenbaum, Routh expressed that filming his final few episodes of The CW series was "a very traumatic event for me" and "not something I was expecting. It was not well handled." He also spoiled his departure by detailing its lack of comic book accuracy.

"In the comic book world, Ray Palmer...disappears, but he leaves his belt behind, which is in the comics how he has the power to shrink, and this young man takes over, Ryan Choi, and becomes the Atom. That's not what happens with Ray...he doesn't get lost into the multiverse. We're not following the comic book structure."

It also sounds like a return to Legends of Tomorrow isn't something the actor is sure about right now as he explains, "That's kind of a bridge that I will decide to cross when I get there."

Legends of Tomorrow no longer takes itself overly seriously, but the sweet romance between Ray Palmer and Nora Darhk has been nothing short of adordable, and the show losing that is going to hurt big time!

It’s complete bullshit they were written off, especially like this. Routh has been consistently great since Day 1, deserved better.

"We're not following the comic book structure"

I mean, CW and comic accuracy have never really had a very strong relationship.
