Early last week, TV Line revealed that DC's Legends Of Tomorrow would be introducing a "beloved superhero from the DC canon" in the final scene of the first season finale. Now, Entertainment Weekly has learned that Patrick J. Adams (Suits) has been cast in the role and while they haven't learned the character's identity, their source adds that he's a "fun character the fans will love" and that his mysterious agenda will serve as a launching pad for season 2.

Adams will make his debut in the first season finale, titled "Legendary," and will return in the second season premiere, with more appearances likely down the line. The episode is set to air on May 19.

So, who do you guys think the mysterious character is? Most signs and fans are pointing toward Booster Gold or Blue Beetle, but with all the past references to Hal Jordan and Ferris Air, could the Green Lantern be a possibility? Sound off with your thoughts below!

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom
Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/Firestorm
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Arthur Darvil as Rip Hunter
Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl
Franz Drameh as Jefferson Jackson/Firestorm
Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Falk Hentschel as Carter Hall/Hawkman
Casper Crump as Vandal Savage

Legends Of Tomorrow returns March 31

Yeah, definitely Booster Gold.

@OkayButWhy - It[s a time travel DC show -- you MUST do Booster Gold! And sorry, but no way WB would let them use GL.

@OkayButWhy - Zero chance it's GL

@Buckster10 - yea, pretty much if they didn't use the "higher profile" characters in smallville, I gotta think there not gonna use them with legends..

@Maculis - The GL movie is 4 years away, at the earliest, and since this character is only going to make a few appearances, I don't see why they can't use GL. They were allowed to do a Flash show even though there were already immediate DC movie plans.

Agreed...Booster Gold. Or, least I hope so!

Probably Booster Gold. I highly doubt we'll ever see Green Lantern in one of these shows, and they should probably stop referencing him and building up fans' hopes, because you could never, EVER, do him justice on a TV budget. The scale and scope and sheer spectacle of his powers is just impossible as far as TV effects are concerned; even the movie seemed to struggle with it.

@AC1 - solution : make him really really weak willed.

@knighted - Green Lantern show would be the only thing that would get me back on board with the Flarrow verse. But on that budget, they'd have to resort to the same constructs every episode.

@knighted - Unless it's Booster Gold or Elongated Man, none of the 2nd-rate characters are "beloved".

Booster Gold seems right because of the theme of the show, but I wouldn't exclude Blue Beetle since we saw Ted Kord warehouses on Arrow.

I hope it's not Booster Gold. I want a DC movie with Ted Kord Blue Beetle and Booster Gold...starring Key and Peele.
