First Official Images Of Melissa Benoist In Full Costume As SUPERGIRL

Filming is now under way on CBS' Supergirl pilot, and DC has released the first official images of Melissa Benoist suited up as the iconic superhero. She has the cape, the logo, the skirt, and the boots!

Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment, and CBS have released the first official images from Supergirl, the upcoming TV series which stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, Mehcad Brooks (Jimmy Olsen), Calista Flockhart (Cat Grant), Chyler Leigh (Alexandra “Alex” Danvers), David Harewood (Hank Henshaw), Faran Tahir (The Commander), Dean Cain and Helen Slater (both in unspecified roles). Oscar winner Colleen Atwood (Memoirs of a Geisha) designed the suit you see below, and she had this to say about the design. "In designing Supergirl, I wanted to embrace the past, but more importantly, thrust her into the street-style action hero of today." What do you guys think?

The suit is awesome, this makes me a lot more excited for Supergirl. If it ended up as part of the CWverse it'd look great alongside the Flash and Arrow costumes.

It's got some serious MoS vibes which I like, especially the logo. I've always preferred it when it had a black or in this case blue background.

From the hem of the skirt up it doesn't look too bad. I don't know about the actress though. I give it a 6 on a scale of 1 to Cosplay.

I'm....honestly shocked. I expected far worse. I thought the costume would be a blue sweater and red yoga pants. CBS threw me for a loop.
