...and that's a wrap on Sanvers.

After announcing that Floriana Lima would be leaving Supergirl this season after a five episode arc, it was only a matter of time before we reached tonight's hour that saw Alex and Maggie part ways after determining that they both wanted different things in marriage.

Moving forward, next week's episode will see the Danvers sisters take a road trip back home to Midvale where they'll relive the childhood memories that helped shape their relationship as we know it. Plus, it looks like they even have a surprise or two in store for us as we catch a small peek at Kara's mother, Alura, on Earth!

Watch the new promo for episode six, titled "Midvale," below:

"Midvale" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV)

ESCAPE DOWN MEMORY LANE - Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) head home to Midvale for a little R&R. While there, Kara recalls a painful memory of a childhood friend's death and how that traumatic experience brought the Danver sisters closer together. Izabela Vidovic plays Young Kara and Olivia Nikkanen plays Young Alex in flashbacks. Rob Greenlea directed the episode written by Caitlin Parrish and Jess Kardos (#306). Original airdate 11/13/2017.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

The episode was good...except for the shoehorned in to appease the minority scenes between Maggie and Alex. What was even the point of that dancing/romance scene, since every other scene in the episode was them crying over their marriage ambitions.

The CW's killing it with their villains this year. I LOVE Morgan Edge, I love the Thinker, I'm liking the ambiguity over who the real villain for Arrow is (and Cayden James was great in his first appearance). I just wish Legends of Tomorrow had an actual villain.

It's absurd to have Martian Manhunter sit around and do nothing while she saved the plane. Part of the reason he needs to get away from this show and have his own show..and his own budget.

Maaaan i f*cking LOVE Tal-er...i mean Morgan Edge!
Crazy actor, always brings his A-game!

I liked everything, "Sanvers" was the weakest part, but hey, at least it's over!

also, what they are doing with Reign is very interesting, it's very similar to SV's S8, but obviously they can't hold a candle! :P

All things considered, solid episode for Supergirl standards.

I NEVER post. But really enjoy the site and the comments. With that being said, I've tried my best to get into this show. But there is just WAY too much cheese. The Maggie/Alex force fed relationship is the last straw. Just Horrible.
