SUPERGIRL: Mr. Mxyzptlk Returns In New Stills From Season 6, Episode 11; "Mxy in the Middle"

We don't have a new promo, but The CW has released fourteen new promotional stills from next Tuesday's installment of Supergirl, which will feature the return of Thomas Lennon as Mr. Mxyzptlk.

While it doesn't seem like The CW is releasing any more new promos for the sixth and final season of Supergirl, they are still sharing new promotional stills, which are almost as revealing. This week's batch reveals the return of Thomas Lennon as Mr. Mxyzptlk.

The hour will once again see Kara (Melissa Benoist) and her Superfriends square off against Nyxly (Peta Sergeant), as they do everything they can to protect Mxy from her infinite rage. It also sounds like his reappearance will give us some much-needed backstory on this season's dangerous big bad.

Elsewhere, Lena (Katie McGrath) visits her mother's birthplace, seeking answers about her past, but is surprised to receive quite a negative reception from the locals.

Check out new stills from episode eleven, titled "Mxy in the Middle," below:

Nice to see Mxy back, both the character's previous episodes were great.

So far this season is okay to decent. Better than season 1, maybe on par with season 2.

These episodes seemed focused on building up Nyxly's revenge and her level of threat now that she's regained her powers, Nia mastering her oneiromancy abilities + finding closure with how things were left with her sister and Kelly becoming Guardian 2.0.

Once these are over I think the pace will pick up a lot more.

I feel like that building they were protecting is still not gonna hold up even if Kara summoned Mxyzptlk. This version of him is quite fun though.

Wished I could find a gif of that scene where Kara used her super speed to "train" with that gym thing but couldn't because it was cool.

But this awkward PSA scene reminded me of this from Homecoming haha.

Really cool that Mxy is back. He was great in the 100th ep last year. I’m really excited for the rest of S6 and of course for Supergirl to have an amazing ending for Melissa.

@karazorel - you're right, that was a really good episode and he was very good in it.

I’m bit disappointed with some of these costumes to be honest.

It was an alright episode, better than the previous one I thought. I honestly did not care for the Dreamer storyline, and found her lack of thinking with making the deal to be frustrating. The main storyline though I thought was solid. Not feeling Nyxly as a villain either, I find her reasonings to be somewhat poorly written at times. Probably the weakest villain since season 2.

The last couple episodes were a bit of a step down from the return episode, which I thought was solid. Hopefully the rest of the season is solid.
