SUPERGIRL Season 3 Adds THE LEFTOVERS Actress Betty Buckley As Reign's Mother
As Supergirl prepares to delve deep into Reign's upbringing, The CW has announced the casting of Broadway legend Betty Buckley (The Leftovers, Pretty Little Liars) as her adoptive mother. Come take a look!
TV Insider has learned that Tony Award-winner Betty Buckley (Pretty Little Liars, The Leftovers) has joined the cast of Supergirl season two as the "honest, but stubborn" Patricia Arias, the adoptive mother of Samantha Arias (Odette Annable), a.k.a. Reign!
The CW's character description reveals that her relationship with her daughter will be a little frosty when we meet them as the pair have been estranged for several years since Sam became a teen mom. Also, it looks like she'll be very much aware of her daughter's extraterrestrial and undoubtedly lethal origins. "Their relationship is made all the more complex by the secrets Patricia holds."
Buckley will make her debut in episode seven, which is titled "Wake Up."
