Superman and Lois will return to our screens this March, and star Elizabeth Tulloch has now taken to Twitter to share her new look for the highly-anticipated third season of The CW series.

The actress is sporting a mauve jumper, blue jeans, and a pair of purple-rimmed reading glasses. In a follow-up Tweet, Tulloch confirmed that the glasses are inspired by Superman: The Movie star Margot Kidder.

Kidder played Lois Lane in four Superman movies opposite the late Christopher Reeve, and for many, remains the quintessential take on the iconic Daily Planet reporter. She sadly passed away back in 2018 at the age of 69.

Check out Tulloch's Tweets below.

Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent/Superman), Alex Garfin (Jordan Kent), Erik Valdez (Kyle Cushing), Inde Navarrette (Sarah Cushing), Wolé Parks (John Henry Irons), Tayler Buck (Natalie Lane Irons), Sofia Hasmik (Chrissy Beppo), Dylan Walsh (Sam Lane), and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Lana Lang Cushing) will all be back for season 3, with Michael Bishop stepping in to replace Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent.

Superman & Lois is a little different to previous Man of Steel-centric shows, as the story focuses on Clark and Lois raising a family and dealing with the "stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society."

Former The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing executive produces the series with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns via Berlanti Productions.

Superman & Lois Season 3 premieres on The CW on March 14, 2023.

Donner did alot right with Superman but in my opinion he was best at making the supporting cast fit his narrative. Not just shoehorn in the relevant characters.

The show has the worst Superman and worst Lois. Tulloch's Lois is even worse than Amy Adams' Lois.

As long as they don't rush her storyline like Grimm. We shall see however.

I gues, while taking Superman, do you think Gunn will update the Clark identity? If so, how?

Glasses, while iconic and will be involved, they seem by today’s standards a bit silly. I mean, imagine was holding Clark’s iPhone next to Superman and his face unlocked it?!

My take, he’ll either go more ‘Shy Clark’ Cavill’s was confident and in terms of physical disguise: Glasses, hair style? I feel like they need something extra

@Knightrider - In the comic Superman Birthright he has a slight tint to his glasses. Not big I know but makes a difference.

@Steel86 - Yeah, it is a fav of mine. I think in the world of facial tracking, it might be something that will need to be addressed.
If he were the only superhero in the universe then maybe not, because people wouldn’t have a concept of secret alter egos. In a shared universe the public, governments and people like Lex may not expect Superman to live as a hero, but they certainly use their resources to check, because they’d know if you could put a target on his family you might control him.

@Steel86 - I liked that too. That his natural eye color is so blue it's unearthly, but the glasses cut down the gleam of them and mute them to look mundane and normal. I thought that was brilliant.
