SUPERMAN & LOIS Face The Fallout Of SPOILER Learning The Truth In New Promo For Episode 12, "Lies That Bind"

Last night's Superman & Lois featured a major development as someone learned Clark's secret, but it looks like fans are going to have to wait a few more weeks before seeing the fallout.

Superman & Lois will be off for the rest of the month, but the show didn't head into its spring hiatus without giving us one extremely major development, as Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) has finally learned the secret her best friend (Tyler Hoechlin) has been keeping from her their entire lives: Clark Kent is Superman.

What happens next is anyone's guess, but based on the new promo, it seems like she's not going to be all that pleased Clark's been hiding something so massive from her all this time. It also looks like Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) will be filling her in on all the other details as well, including the fact that there's an evil, otherworldly doppelgänger trying to track her down and merge.

This is the second time Lana has learned Clark's secret in live-action, as she (Kristin Kreuk) previously discovered the truth on Smallville, using a little bit of trickery to finally confirm her suspicions. He (Tom Welling) would later reveal his secret to her in the sixth season finale before she faked her death.

Check out the big reveal and the new promo for episode twelve, titled "Lies that Bind," below:

"Lies That Bind" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

TBD (#212). Original airdate 5/31/2022.

@TheHumanSpider2 - I really doubt this'll get canceled. It's doing so well. Most likely it'll be the only arrowverse show to survive.

@dracula - While I would't go that far, esecially since I'm not that big of a fan of Reeve's version as others are, but Tyler is damn good and much better than I thought he ever would be when first cast.

Superman is too important to be on TV.

#restore Cavill Superman!

dracula - 5/4/2022, 3:43 PM
@Forthas - this show is better than a anything cavil has been in and Tyler is a better Superman

Plus if its good, ill take the medium that gave us breaking bad over the medium that gave us M Night Shamalan and Michael Bay

@dracula - I watched an episode of Superman and Lois....there is no universe where it is in the same class as Man of Steel (everything after that may be a different story). If Superman and Lois were as good as you claim it would mot struggle to get a million people. It debuted with almost 2 million. It is not in the top 100 TV shows.

dracula - 5/4/2022, 4:25 PM
@Forthas - its not in the same class as man of steel, its better.

Also ratings or box office do not automatically make something good or bad. Jersey shore and the transformer movies did very well despite being garbage.

Breaking bad had mediocre ratings for a majority of its run, mostly getting in the low millions. Didn't get the big numbers till its final season

Also yeah, not exactly helping it, that its tied to a universe where everything that came before it had gone to crap by the time it started and on a failing network

The previews of Superman & Lois are half of the time over exxagerated to make one think that there's gonna be some huge dramatic conflict between characters that is heightened especifically with those "omg end of the world" music, so I really doubt that there is going to be a major fallout from the reveal. It's just being played to generate hype.

Lana will now have to deal with the secret as well and juggle with all that it involves like how her daughter has been essentially dating Superman's son and etc, it comes with new layers. Also if she feels ready to open up about this with Sarah or Kyle whom she's still at odds with.

The episode last night was pretty good and I liked how Jordan turned things around to defeat Jon-El. He's very close to flying, likely by the S2 finale he will be able to do it.

The episode also confirmed that Natalie survived from the anti-matter wave because she, somehow, ended up in that negative middle-ground zone that exists between Earth Prime & Bizarro World, that dark place where there was nothing and Clark stopped by when he was traveling between both worlds. And seems she's been working on her own Steel suit as well.

And weird that you @KingPatel didn't post the reveal video so I will do it for you haha.

Great episode, but the biggest problem I have with this show is that every episode you have to wait a month until another one comes on.

Seriously I understand Superman & Lois has less episodes, but that shouldn't mean you have to make people wait until another one comes out.

Just end the season sooner and have another show fill that timeslot instead, maybe a Caped crusader or something.

@FlixMentallo21 - That was awesome, the same art style that was used for last year's Man of Tomorrow it seems.

I liked how John wears a trench coat over his GL suit and how they're going for more close combat GL constructs instead of the usual battle of beams that we've seen in comics or in the animated series, etc. It makes for a way for the action to feel grounded and yet also otherworldy with the power rings.

Will see it once it is out.

Wonder how Lana's gonna feel knowing she invited Superman to "come in" now after finding out he's Clark lmao

Also, I wish this show didnt have so many hiatus's. Feels like we get one every two weeks.
