GENERAL EILING TARGETS FIRESTORM - After the nuclear explosion separates Ronnie (guest star Robbie Amell) and Dr. Stein (guest star Victor Garber), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team believe both men are safe. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is thrilled to have her fiancé back and prepares to resume their life together while Dr. Stein returns to his wife. However, when General Eiling (guest star Clancy Brown) targets Firestorm, Ronnie and Dr. Stein must decide if they are safer together or apart. Meanwhile, Mason Bridge (guest star Roger Hayworth) tells Iris (Candice Patton) that there is something secretive going on at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Stein gives Barry some important information about time travel. Steve Surjik directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Ben Sokolowski (#114).

Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along. Barry’s latest obsession is a cutting edge particle accelerator, created by visionary physicist Harrison Wells and his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who claim that this invention will bring about unimaginable advancements in power and medicine. However, something goes horribly wrong during the public unveiling, and when the devastating explosion causes a freak storm, many lives are lost and Barry is struck by lightning. After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed once again – the accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena. Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Instead of having Thomas Wayne as Batman they should have Oliver's dad be the Arrow.

Sooooooooooo... anyone else pick up on the possibility of a 2nd Reverse Flash? I know they refuted it, but that was probably just to throw us off. After the blood samples were analyzed (Barrys beeing one), they other was not Wells blood. 2nd Reverse Flash?

I think I get it now. I think that in the Flashpoint universe, we'll see Cisqo as Vibe and Caitlin as Killer Frost. There will be no Dr.Wells, and Barry would largely be on his own.

I sincerely hope that, when Flashpoint happens, we get to see more than the few characters that already exist. I hope that we can get a glimpse of a full on Justice League. Even if there's no DC Trinity, I'd like to see: Green Lantern (John Diggle Stewart), Green Arrow, Firestorm, The Atom, Black Canary, Constantine, Supergirl, Robin, Starfire, Raven and someone that no one expects, just for kicks. Like Etrigan or Zatanna.

yes, there is a second Reverse-Flash and it will be Eddie hence the reason why Reverse-Flash didn't kill him (the exact question that Eddie asked to Joe) and Eddie will be pissed that Barry took Iris away from him (and Eddie will probably lose his job also or something like that and he will go full-on villain.)

I'm the future Cisco needs to make Ronnies suit. He obviously doesn't have it yet cuz he is in no way thinking of being a super hero. But over time I believe he will want to use his powers for good and have Cisco develope a suit that protects him from other people

Guys this is not going to be Flashpoint story. It looks like but it isn't. Because in Flashpoint his mother was killed by Thawne, but he wasn't there when his mother was killed. When he decided to save his mother then the events of Flashpoints happened.

SO in the show it's revealed that he already was there when his mother died, so this should be the events after Flashpoint when Barry stopped himself from saving his mother and eveything went fine.

The show is like the aftermath of Flashpoint logically. But yeah, anything can be possible, lets see what happens next.

@AbhiShake
If they do end up making this Flashpoint, I don't think they will stick religiously to the comics. They have already taken some liberties.

Either way, last night's episode was awesome!

@dbColossus : They are pretty accurate to the comics regarding characters and lttle stuffs. But yeah this storyline never happened in comic, that's one the reason this show is engaging since we don't know the story.

Anyone else getting the feeling that Dr. Wells is Bart Allen? Think about it...

Wells is flash from the future and eddie is reverse flash. Or we can go the other way with it wells is reverse flash from the future training eddie to become greater than he is now to beat flash later in life.
