It's Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) birthday and some of his most kickass friends are coming to visit as Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), John Diggle (David Ramsey), and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) all return to Central City to celebrate - and help the Scarlet Speedster in his time of need when Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) resurfaces.
While special appearances from Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) or Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) would've been welcome, this episode is arguably the biggest crossover event the Arrowverse has seen since "Crisis on Infinite Earths" in 2019 and it looks like the network is billing it as essentially the end of the Arrowverse.
Series regular Danielle Panabaker is directing. This will be the fifth episode she's helmed, following "Godspeed" in season five, "License to Elongate" in season six, "Rayo de Luz" in season seven, and "Keep It Dark" in season eight.
While The CW has already started promoting the hour, the episode won't actually air until April 26th, so fans will have to wait a few more weeks to see the Flash and Green Arrow team up one last time. It'll also kick off the show's final run of episodes, with the series finale now set for May 24.
