"Hurrrrmmm."

Yes folks, despite being vaporised by Doctor Manhattan at the end of Watchmen, Rorschach will return for Geoff Johns Doomsday Clock, which has now been confirmed as a direct sequel to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' iconic original.

Exactly how the highly unstable vigilante manages this particular feat is unclear, but fans of the character will definitely appreciate the following preview:

The pages above do reveal that the sequel kicks-off seven years after the events of Watchmen, and that Rorschach's journal entries have resulted in the exposure of Ozymandias’ "Great Lie". It also seems clear that Rorschach wants to find a way to bring Doctor Manhatten back after the blue god-like being left earth once Ozy's lethal plan had been executed.

Of course, we know that the good Doctor has been busy meddling in the DC Comics Universe in the interim!

What do you guys think about this reveal? Does Rorschach's return cheapen the character's demise, or are you happy we'll get to continue reading about his ultra-violent exploits? Sound off below.

Doomsday Clock #1 by Johns, Gary Frank and Brad Anderson releases on November 22.

Adrian has a tumor, so I'm sure he's dying by the end of this. I have no idea how Rorschach is alive but maybe it's someone taking the identity of Rorschach, putting on the mask and so lost in the delusion that they're Rorschach.

@Kr08 - Where'd you get the tumor part from? Is it in the original book?

I hate everything about this.

@TheDayman - Yeah me too.

They are essentially taking everything Watchmen was created to be and turning it into what it was created to parody.

This is just ridiculous and feels so wrong.

Alan Moore is probably rolling over in his beard right now.

@CorndogBurglar - Alan Moore thinks he's a wizard who can summon lightning. He's gone off his rocker
