I'm sure y'all are aware of this, but just in case you're not- tickets for at least the midnight and Friday shows of the Watchmen for March 6 are available for presale at movietickets.com. I don't know if this is true for everywhere, but it is for here. I don't want to hear of anyone missing out on the movie because it sold out on them before opening night.

G4 is also airing their Watchmen special. I caught it today. They show the bar scene with Rorschach at Nite Owl. It was slightly different, but they did amazing job with the scene and really managed to capture Rorschach's brutal tactics.

The primary difference is the end of the dialog in the scene. It was obviously changed to perpetuate story, and while they did not show Nite Owl learning about Mason's death, the scene looks as if it was done in such a manner that it could have been there and they cut it. Once again making me think we can look to the "Mega Ultra Super Duper Deluxe" version of the DVD to get our jollies.

If you watch the G4 special, be warned, it is almost a giant ad. It still has some really nice goodies, such as a lot of Dave Gibbons. But if you just want to see the bar scene, it is the very last thing they show at the end of the hour. (Of course.)

Edit:
A couple of things... Jackie Earle Haley is wearing an Epoch shirt in that clip. That is awesome! :D

Second, in Jackie's clip, they are filming the bar scene, and it looks as if Nite Owl is pounding the guy who narced on Mason's death.... Nice...

"I’m really worried about whether standard mainstream audiences will sit through the hour of talking that takes place between the Comedian’s death at the start of the film and the next major action scene of note."

This is an excerpt from a positive review of the movie. An hour block in the movie of dialogue without any major action scenes sounds really hopeful that the literary style of the comic is preserved. Another good sign from above.
