We finally got a proper look at HBO's new Watchmen TV series yesterday, and while it did give fans a slightly better idea of what to expect from the plot, there are still a lot of questions that need answering.

Arguably the most talked about aspect of the trailer was Regina King's (If Beale Street Could Talk) character Angela Abar, who we see suiting-up and kicking ass in several shots. We know she's most likely a cop (well, was a cop), but aside from that very little is known about this mysterious vigilante.

Following the teaser, King shared a new look at her character over Twitter.

How do you guys think Miss Abar will factor into this story?

Watchmen also stars Jean Smart, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, and Lily Rose Smith. The show is set to premiere this fall, so set those Doomsday Clocks accordingly.

@Kman - I think the shot of the middle aged woman (Jean Smart) opening the box with the blue light shining out of it is an older Laurie, and the blue light is something of Dr. Manhattans... maybe his cufflinks... or his watch... or his penis lol

Honestly, I haven't been following this too much.

But, if Regina King is going to be in it, I'll definitely be checking out the first couple of episodes. She was amazing in Southland.

The heavens spit me out
From Ether's tragic I am born again
And now I'm with you now
Inside your world of wow
To move in desires made of deadly pretends
Till the end times begin

Is it bright where you are
Have the people changed
Does it make you happy you're so strange
And in your darkest hour, I hold secrets flame
You can watch the world devoured in it's pain
