Last night's action packed two-parter ended with a shocking twist as someone that looked a lot like May (Ming-Na Wen) paid a visit to Sarge (Clark Gregg) and appeared to shoot him in the head, which closed the episode as fans are now left waiting for next Friday night.

Meanwhile, the rest of the hour will see Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. banding together to face their impending doom and an enemy than may be a lot closer than they may have anticipated.

Izel's betrayal in the promo fulfills the show's established and long tradition of the team being double crossed by someone that was either their friend or was on their side supposedly all this time.

I’ve been a big supporter of AoS. I’ve watched and enjoyed every episode of seasons 1-5. But I just have no desire to watch this show anymore. I watched the premiere and shrugged my shoulders. Maybe it’s because the end of season 5 felt like a good ending for the series. Or maybe because the show has officially veered away from the MCU. Or that the plot revolves around Fitz and Simmons being separated and finding each other. Again. Or that Coulson is alive. Again. I know it’s technically a different character, but I’m sure one of the episodes explained why Sarge looks just like Coulson.

Does anyone know why the shrike bats disappeared when they entered the truck? There was no explanation for it...it seems like lazy writing. All the bats inside and outside of the truck just vanished, but there was no explanation. I watched it twice too make sure I didn't miss something. Any thoughts?

Did anyone catch the line at the end of the episode where Mack said something like "things here have changed in the past years"? I may have misheard what he said.. "5 years" made me think of Endgame.

Watching back to back these two episodes in one go made them flow a lot better.

Sarge hates Izel (the annual Season traitor revealed to be the big bad) for killing his family and also erasing any memory he had of them. The feeling is mutual for Izel to him for Sarge killing "her crew" (must meant her Shrike) and blames him as the one responsible for what happened at Chronyca-2. I will say both had a role to do with it given how he worded that "severed a part of it" when the planet got infected thanks to the Shrike.

All of this because she's searching for her Dialys (I've seen them called also as "Di'Allis") aka the former Monoliths that belong to her place of origin. I bet that Izel's real form is some kind of Shrike-succubus creature and that body is just another host. She hates Sarge so much that I am willing to be that she could be using his former dead wife's appearance just to mess with him.

What I'd like to know next is what those special Shrike killing blades are called, Izel would know. Also pretty sure she's a completely made up character for the show, there isn't a single thing about her in the canon Incan mythology.

Sarge's team took so many Ls during their run on Earth (well, more like always since they never even stopped Izel) to their last attempt of taking over the Zephyr. Yo Yo was the MVP throughout this.

I liked Clark Gregg's performance as Sarge was getting angrier when his plan failed and when he was talking over the coms with Izel, he never cut loose that much when he played Coulson.

Deke's really been reduced to the comedic relief character of the show. Besides finding the warhead inside Sarge's truck (not his first one) they aren't doing much with him, his newfound and rushed romance with Snowflake to make up for his failed perverted pursue of Daisy is also played for laughs. Funny enough, her being hurt over how Sarge treated her and the rest of the team make me wanna give her a chance to redeem herself if she makes it out alive at the end. Maybe she'll make Deke a much better and responsible person.

But till then they should make him share screen time with his grandparents, that is where his character actually shines.

RIP Jaco. That atom bomb needed to be hit with something to activate which was how Sarge planned to destroy the Shrike tower along with Izel so Jaco had to trigger it.

Mack's reunion with Fitz was nice, considering he saw him die it's no wonder he almost crushed him with that bear hug.
I have read that what Quake did was find the right frequency of those Shrike and just tapped into their vibrations to disintegrate them. That should count as their 2nd weakness after their vulnerability to cold. But I thought she containing the core of the bomb from exploding earlier was way more badass.

Izel is definitely among them and they haven't realize it.

And the Chronicom are gonna catch up to FitzSimmons with the data they got from their brain during their confinement in the mind prison device. Huh.

May's memories must have been erased in some way by Izel and that is why she can't remember it, Sarge did say she took his own. He is dead now but there could be a way to revive him but I am gonna hold back till more is revealed.

@lemric - I have a bad feeling about him too. Either he is under the control of Izel, has been infected by a Shrike, or is Izel herself. Also, Izel could have escaped via the quinjet they left on top of the spaceship.

Davis has always been a mysterious figure, seemed like there was more to his story about his fight against Aida than we ever heard about...

The Shrike ‘bats’ look a lot like the ‘bats’ Thanos conjured up to fight the Avengers on titan during their fight in IW. I wonder if there is a connection?

I have a feeling that we could get dupes of anyone who went into that time shifting monolith other than Daisy. The idea being whatever it is that is doing this can replicate a human being but not powers.
