AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: Sarge Takes Charge In New Promo For Season 6, Episode 8: "Collision Course (Part 1)"

Well, this show is definitely not in the MCU now, as this Friday's episode will see the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. follow Sarge's lead as they take on an extinction-level threat (who is definitely not Thanos).

This Friday, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. kicks off a sure-to-be epic two-parter as the team is forced to follow Sarge's (Clark Gregg) lead as they do their best to stop the extinction-level threat of "The Galaxy-Hopping Hate-Beast That Eats Planets."

Meanwhile, back on the Lazy Comet, something weird is going on with Izel's crew, as Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Gemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) make a startling discovery.

Nice to have a thread for the latest episode.

The subplot with FitzSimmons and Enoch back in Kitson was fun, been a while since Fitz was allowed to have a relaxed and not so anxious, stressful plot like usual. Second shriek of horror from him after the last one in the past week when the guillotine almost fell on him.

It looked like the knife that Izel pulled out in the end had the same design that the ones that Sarge has to kill the Shrike.

Enoch's farewell was unexpected, but as long as they stay in touch it will be okay. Really wished they tried to convince him to come with them considering he is still being hunted by his own kind. He did not put any resistance when Kitson's men caught them neither whereas he took down everyone by himself last week, odd. Until Season 7.

Mack coming out from the shadow of that door in his office as Sarge stared down at Coulson's hologram reminded me to the pilot when Coulson did the same to Ward to appear cool.

The only thing he and Coulson appear to share in common is that they recruited their teammates with half of the reason being to give them a 2nd chance and that is where it stops, at least that is Jacco's case.

Didn't fully get how he pulled the fire breath.

Everyone at the Lighthouse just wants Yo-Yo and Mack to stop being distant and get back together.

Deke was out of place with his emotional outburst to Mack when he ditched them without even saying goodbye when they went to stop Talbot. And the existence of Sarge is what proves his theory of the multiverse not that he is still alive despite future!Fitz' death, if something happens to the current present Fitz or Jemma then he is toast.

They better do something with his crush on Daisy because it serves nothing at all, she's uninterested & absolutely oblivious to it. He should work closer with Benson once he returns, they will fill in for FitzSimmons.

I figured that if they couldn't land them outer space's altitude would do the trick. They should come up with an Icer bazooka to cold the Shrike down as an auxiliary measure.

Another very strong episode this season from SHIELD. Not at the level of last weeks phenomenal episode, but my 3rd favorite of the season after episode 3's mind trip on Kitson.

Speaking of Kitson, I enjoyed the Kitson plot the most this episode, and I think the cosmic side of this season has been a bit better and certainly more enjoyable than the Earth based side. Fitz, Simmons and Enoch just have such terrific chemistry and are a goddamn delight to watch on screen. Lots of good humor ("very convincing Jemma," lol). I will say, Enoch's goodbye to the team was unexpected and a bit emotional, that was well done. Going to miss that chronicom, looking forward to us seeing g him again when Fitz inevitably calls him.

Kitson himself was fun and played well by Michael Hall. The shrike lady is interesting, looking forward to learning more about the history of the monoliths.

With regards to the Earth based stuff, Mack and Sarge's conversations were great, some very different ideologies and perspectives on display. Jacob's firebreathing: remember, he isnt necessarily human... Liked seeing Butterfly waiting and listening to Jaco breathe fire, only for Daisy to show up and quickly put him back to sleep and Butterfly looking very shocked.

I liked Deke in this episode, from trying to flirt with Daisy to his reaction to learning his grandfather died and another version was in space. I thought his feelings were justified. Interesting observation that Daisy's reaction to seeing Sarge was the same as Fitz's reaction to learning Coulson had died.

Some great visuals as always with the Zephyr. And the two shrike Suicide threat was done well.

I love how this show knows what continuity is and constantly brings back plotlines from early seasons.

@Himura - I hope they don't forget about the woman that killed her InHuman brother and thru him from the helicopter into the ocean and they showed him going thru another metamorphosis.

What’s the general consensus? I stopped after episode one since they really said [frick] it to the mcu continuity. I’ll watch it once the season is over but now I don’t need to watch week to week

So the woman with fitz and Simmons is the strikes creator, right? She is looking for the monoliths, which have been stolen from her, and the crystals the make have a similar structure to the monoliths. Curious to see where this goes.

I'm loving sarge. Didn't think I would, but there is just enough cousin in there to make this new character work.

I'm thinking Enoch is back by the end of the season. The actor can be seen in a picture of season 6 wrap party. Now that's not to say he wasn't just invited to it, but it wouldn't surprise me if he comes back
