When Echo and Deadpool 3 were left off a list of Disney's "Key Upcoming Releases" during an earnings call earlier this month, speculation ran rampant that both projects had been delayed further into 2024.
Now, while that may still be true for the latter, which was still filming prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, it looks like we may have some good news on the Hawkeye spinoff as TV Line has seemingly confirmed that, at the time of this posting, Echo is still on track to launch on November 29, exclusively on Disney+, with all episodes dropping on the same day.
No further details were provided, but they do clarify that the release calendar included in that recent earnings call was “not exhaustive,” so we'll assume not everything was included, although it's hard to imagine why they wouldn't have, at least, mentioned this project when it's due out at the tail end of this calendar year.
Echo will feature Alaqua Cox (Maya Lopez), Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs (Julie), Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, Zahn McClarnon (William Lopez), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin), and Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil).
We'll keep an eye out for whether the show does ultimately get delayed into 2024, especially with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes still ongoing, but, for now, we'll just continue counting down the days for the final Marvel Studios project of 2023 - and the return of Daredevil!
