JESSICA JONES Season 3 Will See Star Krysten Ritter Make Her Directorial Debut
After spending two seasons in front of the camera, Krysten Ritter is ready to step into the director's chair, as a new report reveals that the Jessica Jones star will be helming an episode for Season 3...
Filming for Season 3 of Netflix and Marvel’s Jessica Jones has already begun, and most of the returning cast and crew will be filling their usual roles - all except one.
According to Deadline, Krysten Ritter will no longer just focus on her work in front of the camera, which she has done for the previous 2 seasons as the series' lead actor. Instead, the Marvel star will be taking on a larger role behind the camera, as she gets set to make her directorial debut for an episode in the third season.
In response to the news, Ritter also issued a brief statement:
“I am beyond thrilled to make my directorial debut on Marvel’s Jessica Jones. The entire crew and cast has become family to me, and I’m so appreciative of the opportunity to work with our incredible team in this new way. I am so grateful that Melissa Rosenberg, Jeph Loeb, Marvel, and Netflix entrusted me to take the reins.”
Details on Season 3 are scarce, but we do know the story will likely see Jessica deal with the events of last season, particularly the death of her mother and the falling out between her and Trish Walker. There has also been some speculation that one of the new characters set to debut next season will be the Power Broker.
