LOKI: Marvel Rumored To Have HUGE Multiverse Saga Plans For Sylvie Following Season 2 Finale - SPOILERS

The Loki season 2 finale was nothing short of jaw-dropping, with the door left open for all those characters to return down the line. However, in Sylvie's case, it sounds like there are big plans in place!

Loki season 2 ended with the God of Mischief becoming the God of Stories, taking his place at the Citadel at the End of Time. He finally has his throne, but is left to watch over - and seemingly power - the newly birthed Multiverse.

He Who Remains made it so that Sylvie killing him would lead to Loki gaining his powers and he knew the Asgardian would eventually return to the Citadel before he died, thereby allowing him to live and be freed from the Citadel. While Loki could have killed his Variant and watched over the Sacred Timeline in the villain's place, he instead destroyed the Time Loom, giving every being in the Multiverse free will and the ability to fight back against Kang.

The alternative was being stuck in the loop/Sacred Timeline where everyone on it had their destiny decided by the Kang Variant who vanquished his doppelgangers; however, while Loki may be the MCU's greatest hero, he's also trapped there for eternity, watching over his friends from afar.

He Who Remains, of course, believes he'll be reborn either way and it's down to the TVA to stop that from happening. However, a new rumour suggests Sylvie (who largely took a backseat in Loki season 2) will be a crucial part of the Multiverse Saga moving forward.

According to The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez, it will be Sylvie who tracks down Thor and who assembles The Avengers to take the fight to Kang. We're assuming she won't be part of that plan in Deadpool 3, though she may well show up with her own Multiversal Guardians in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. This also seems to open the door to her appearing in the next Thor movie.

As for Loki, while Tom Hiddleston has played coy about his MCU future, several scoopers seem to agree that he will eventually return. After all, the Multiversal War and all those incursions are going to destroy what he's created and it's then the God will be freed to enter the fight.

Back to Sylvie, though, and Sophia Di Martino's Lady Loki traversing the Multiverse to help put an end to Kang and rescue the man she loves from his self-imposed exile sounds like it has all the makings of an epic story.
