Following the release of that crazy new trailer earlier today, Marvel Studios has shared a new gallery of stills from Loki season 2.
These don't reveal any major new details, but we get a great look at many of the show's leads. Judge Renslayer, for example, has clearly tracked Kang back to the 1920s, suggesting a confrontation with Victor Timely is imminent.
In the comics, Timely wasn't a Kang who hailed from that period; he was stranded there and used his knowledge of the future to shape what would become the Marvel Universe. Don't be surprised if that's the case for the live-action Earth-616 as well.
We also see plenty of Loki and Sylvie, Hunter B-15, and Ke Huy Quan's TVA agent. He looks set to be a pivotal part of this story and clearly knows a lot about the challenges facing the Sacred Timeline.
"Loki season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose."
The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani direct episodes. The head writer is Eric Martin.
Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin R. Wright, Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Eric Martin and Michael Waldron are the executive producers, with Trevor Waterson serving as co-executive producer.
Loki season 2 begins streaming on October 6, exclusively on Disney+.
