Marvel Studios has released a new trailer and poster for Loki season 2, and the former raises a helluva lot more questions than it answers!
In the closing moments of the show's first season, the God of Mischief seemingly found himself lost in an alternate timeline where Kang the Conqueror openly rules over the Time Variance Authority. Now, he's time-slipping, suggesting that was one of many alternate timelines the anti-hero will land in.
With that in mind, it's hard to say whether this Mobius is the one we got acquainted with in the previous season, though it's likely based on what we see of the show's other characters. Renslayer appears to be on her own hunt for Kang, while a kaiju-sized Miss Minutes is also on the loose.
Sylvie, meanwhile, looks to have created a new life for herself and it seems much of Loki's next season will be devoted to saving the TVA and Earth-616 as the Sacred Timeline spirals out of control.
As for Kang the Conqueror, various statues and paintings can be seen adoring his image, though the only glimpse we get of the villain himself is when we see his Victor Timely Variant. One thing that's apparent is war is now on its way!
According to a brief new synopsis, the second season of Loki "promises new excitement as it thrusts the infamous God of Mischief into a new set of adventures with the TVA."
The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
