In Loki's fifth episode, Throg, Frog of Thunder, had a blink-and-you'd-miss-it cameo as he attempted to escape from a jar to reach Mjolnir. One of the God of Mischief's Variants had clearly locked him in there, but the character was meant to play a larger role in the series.
Thor mentioned his brother transforming him into a frog during Thor: Ragnarok, and Loki director Kate Herron eventually revealed that we were actually going to see the God of Thunder in his amphibian form during Mobius' interrogation in the TVA.
The sequence was cut for being too humorous but would have shown "Throg" humiliating Loki by delivering a beating to the God of Mischief after his latest attempt to steal the throne of Asgard. Now, we get to see that courtesy of a clip from Loki season 1's deleted scenes (included on the Blu-ray released today).
This is just a few seconds from a sequence that runs for more than 2 minutes, so we'd obviously recommend picking Loki up to watch the whole thing.
While the visual effects are unfinished, we watch as Throg leaps into action and learn that Chris Hemsworth recorded new dialogue for his cameo role. We really wished this hadn't been cut but Loki revisiting his greatest hits was meant to be a hard-hitting moment for the trickster, not an excuse for laughs!
